Fixed knee and hip problems. Our dog is like a puppy again!
This is an absolutely AMAZING product! ActivFlex has honestly changed my dog's life. She went from whining at the bottom of the stairs (waiting for someone to carry her, because her legs/hips were too sore) to running laps around the house and bouncing from one piece of furniture to the next. She really is like a whole new dog. She almost never seems to have leg, knee or hip pain anymore. She is happier and more active than ever. THANK YOU!!!Honestly, I really can't say enough about this product. Our 7 year old Pomchi used to suffer from frequent knee and hip pain, especially after climbing the stairs and jumping up on furniture. It got so bad that we spent over a year and multiple vet visits, trying to find something to help her. We tried a myriad of different OTC and prescription medications, supplements and special foods; however, nothing really seemed to help all that much, until we finally found this product. We've been using these for close to 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the results. We have noticed a HUGE IMPROVEMENT in our dog's activity level, happiness and overall well-being since we started using ActivFlex.-------------------------------------------------------------------------WHAT MAKES THIS SUPPLEMENT DIFFERENT (OPINION)-------------------------------------------------------------------------Like most other dog arthritis supplements, these chews contain Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM, plus an important, additional ingredient called Turmeric, which is known to help with inflammation in humans and dogs. However, there is one major drawback to Turmeric and that is the fact that the main active ingredient in Turmeric is a spice called Curcumin. If the Turmeric compound contains too much Curcumin, it can cause a whole host of side-effects (https://www.certapet.com/turmeric-for-dogs/#Curcumin_Side_Effects) with the most common issue being nausea and vomiting - especially in smaller dogs. This is exactly what we found with all of the other turmeric supplements we tried for our dog. When we first tried ActivFlex (I believe it was named slightly different at the time), I honestly didn't notice that it contained Turmeric, otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried it. Man am I glad I didn't, though, because I feel like the the addition of turmeric (at least the particular formulation they use in ActivFlex) has really made all the difference in our dog. We can tell she feels SO MUCH BETTER and has less inflammation and soreness in her knees and hips. I might reach out to Plano Paws to get more information. If so, I will update this review.

Great for Dog with Bilious Vomiting
My 8yo great dane mix has bilious vomiting syndrome and arthritis. Based on our vet's recommendation, we tried the super expensive Dasuquin supplements first. She wasn't able to digest the Dasuquin treat and consistently threw it up after 1-2 hours. We switched her to PlanoPaws ActivFlex supplements which she tolerated very well. The ingredients are good, she enjoys the taste, and she tolerates them very well. She didn't experience any vomiting or other GI symptoms at all with PlanoPaws ActivFlex.I'm giving four stars because we found another supplement, ScruffyPet Hip and Joint supplements, which had higher amounts of glucosamine, had more nutrients, and she only needed 3 per day for her weight versus 4 of the ActivFlex for the same price. (Both are 120 chews for $30.) We are also giving her the ScruffyPet Omega 3 Fish Oil for Dogs and Cats in the pump bottle. Her arthritis symptoms are managed and she is more mobile than before. As for the PlanoPaws ActivFlex, this is a good product; however, I would opt for the ScruffyPet supplement for the better ingredients and value. If I couldn't find ScruffyPet, PlanoPaws would be my second choice.

Saved our dog & lots of $$
We have a mini dachshund that is 15 years old. He began having severe hip issues about 5-6 years ago. We spent a lot of $$ at the vet, until we found this product. Within a week he was totally cured and still doesn’t have problems with his hips. It’s an easy, every day supplement that really works!! We thought for sure he would have to have surgery or some god awful contraption to help him walk. He easily manages the 4 steps of our porch and loves bouncing around with his toys. Pretty amazing, the difference!!

Helped Stop Knee Clicking
Our pitbull had one knee TPLO surgery so we were really worried when we heard the other knee start making popping/clicking noises with every step, but no limping or apparent pain. The clicking was so loud, it made us cringe with fear and worry. We had previously had her knee x-rayed and the prognosis was "possible" she would need surgery in the future, but not an absolute. Our research showed that clicking in knees is not uncommon and that rest and supplements are worth a try if the dog does not have an accompanying limp. We did not walk her for one week and we give her these chews as directed. The clicking disappeared after a couple days and has not come back since we started the supplements 1 month ago. Phew! Our dog is 62 pounds, so she gets 3 chews per day. We give her one in the morning and two in the evening. She is a picky eater; people try to give her treats and she normally turns her nose up at them. However, she eats these with no problems. They are soft chews. One bottle lasts a little over 1 month. The only downside is that subscribe and save is not offered. Our girl has mild fowl and grain allergies. We feed her Canidae Grain Free Pure Salmon. These supplements don't trigger her allergic responses.
