It’s great for touching up worn, rusted, nicked, or scratched factory bluing because it only sticks to the damaged areas, and leaves the good bluing unaffected. The “stop and start” feature allows you to go back and add coats of bluing before the developer sets, for a deeper, darker finish. The unique process does not use oxidation. Instead, it embeds micronized gold, silver, nickel, copper, and chromium onto the gun’s metal. Experiment for a variety of possible finishes. Gun Blue produces a color that matches many factory hot blue finishes.

I used this on several firearms and it looks as good as if not better than a factory finish. Quick and easy for the DIY guy, all you need is basic items most have at home already

this is NOT a gun black kit
it says blue/black kit. it is not a black kit. strictly blue. i paid a few dollar extra because i was under the impression it was a black kit. now, as for the product, it's great, it's just a bluing kit tho. there is a difference.

Bleu Wonder Gun Blue works Great
I was very pleased with the results of this product. I used it to reblue an old shotgun for a friend. I used my vertical propane smoker to heat the barreled action, because it was too long to fit in my household oven. I hope he doesn't mind a hint of hickory when he uses this shotgun. (actually there was no aroma left)

I must admit, I was surprised at how well it worked. They just don't include enough cleaner to do several coats and you will need to do more than one coat.

Don't forget you need stripper, too.
It wasn't clear that you also needed to buy the stripper. Otherwise it worked well.
