Switch on at the cord.... heater works... even when stomped by goats!
I thought at first it didn't work because I left the cord twist-tied and just plugged it in and it "didn't heat", then I realized after waiting for hours (I got distracted) that the flip switch is on the cord not the heat alert on the screen. Silly me! I was apprehensive about it working because goats got to the packaging, tore it open, strolled across it and left scratch marks on one corner, and tossed the stands about four feet away from the screen... I went back to my order to see if the stands were supposed to be in the torn box after I brought it inside and found no stands. Stands WERE included and still work now that I did a quick search and found the stands in the grass some four to six feet from the torn box and screen. Was easy to put together and is clearly durable since the goats stomped and scratched a corner but it still works and was not cracked. I just wiped the scratch away with a damp cloth and double checked for cracks. Works great. Only I think I would suggest getting the one with an auto on and off you plan to put it outside as I do so you don't have to keep going to flip the switch. Is great for inside, under desk, and anywhere you will be on hand to flip it on and off and yes, it works very well. Got it for my dog kennel and hoping it is less a fire hazard than some heaters and I will hang it on the wall/door so it doesn't take up floor space. Overall pleased and it is definitely durable and still working despite the goat dismantling the mailed box.

Awesome for my outdoor bantams
This is a great coop heater for adult chickens. Heats up quickly, easy to to wipe down, and shouldn't overheat the coop. Excellent for bantam chickens. Allows them to press up against it if the weather is a bit colder. I absolutely would not run this if the coop isn't weather proof, as I don't think it would be water resistant. You can mount on the feet to have it stand on its own, or mount it on the wall. Also, the price is excellent for the great build quality.

Great heater for chicken coops
I bought two of these for my chicken coops and they work well, have used them all winter and it kept the coop fairly comfortable for the chickens even during really cold, windy days and nights. If you're looking for a safe way to provide a bit of heat to take off the chill in your coops, this is the perfect choice, easy to set up and use, built sturdy and will last for years.

Broke! Dangerous!
It was a resale and it had been tampered with so the heat couldn’t be adjusted it was always set to highest level of heat, actually two of my chicks died due to the heat. 🥹

Perfect for Feral Cat Boxes
Bought this for a feral cat box (4 cats for now). Doesn't get hot enough to burn combustibles (172-178 degrees F), but can burn the skin if you hold it. No different than my boiler pipes at the outlet. Appears water tight, but I wouldn't put it directly into the elements to find out. It will be wall mounted inside the cat box. I added a thermostatically controlled exterior adapter (Frost King 099000), so it won't run until the temp is below 50. This should be economical as well. Warming just 20 cubic feet, and it certainly helps.

Great for below zero temps
Bought this to add some warmth for a cold snap that reached 35 below zero. Kept my Cochins snuggled and no frost bite. Heat level is good. It isn’t too hot to touch and radiates heat out more than 12 inches. I have it mounted to the inner wall near the floor for my bigger birds that can’t get on the higher roost bars.

Missing leg
*update to give 5 stars! While I wasn’t able to directly contact the seller, as soon as my review posted they reached out to me and had a set of legs for the heater here extremely quick! Phenomenal customer service!Seems like a good heater, but it is missing one leg. Can’t figure out how to contact seller, as they sends me to Amazon fulfillment and they just want to refund or replace. Would be a 5 star if I could simply get the missing leg
