I absolutely love Medify air purifiers. This is my second purchase, I also have the MA-50 (which is in the main living area). I purchased the upgraded MA-40 on prime day for my home office. This is also where my litter robot resides for the cat, so having a purifier in there is important to help with odor control. I previously had a Winix 5500 in there, but it ultimately didn’t last and died a few weeks back. So the timing of the prime sale was perfect! This air purifier is modern and fits in perfectly with a contemporary environment. I would equate my aesthetic to an amalgamation of farmhouse/bohemian/mid-century modern. I like that it’s sleek and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Traditional air purifiers tend to be a bit bulky, this is not. But! That’s not to say it lacks in power! This perfectly fits the expression of “small, but mighty”. You can tell these purifiers are effective. When sunlight streams in the room you don’t see dust particles in the air. I have two dogs and three cats and I swear that having quality purifiers eliminated my need for allergy medication (at least for most of the year - they don’t help with outside allergies!). In addition to being effective, one of the best features is that it’s QUIET! Even on the highest setting the purifier is more quiet than a traditional table fan. I included a video so you can hear the different settings. The video audio starts with the purifier on the highest speed setting, changes into to sleep mode, and then progresses back up to the highest setting. If I have any cons to this purifier, it would be that the genuine H14 filter replacements are a little pricey. They are presently $69 for one or $129 for two on Amazon. You get can them from the manufacturer directly as well. Pricing there is the same, but there is additional cost savings if you use their subscribe and save option - that reduces the cost of two filter replacements by 30% on your first order, bringing the total to $90.99. Future orders have a 10% discount ($116.99/2 pack). So there is a little cost savings to buying in bulk through their subscribe and save option. Shipping is free from the manufacturer, but it does take 5 to 7 days for your order to arrive. It’s funny how Amazon has created such high shipping expectations for us these days - anything that takes more than two days to arrive just seems so unreasonable! Anyway. I digress. I do want to point out though that, you must use genuine filter replacements and replace them, “at least once every four to five (4-5) months or after 3,000 hours of use (whichever comes first).” in order for the lifetime warranty to remain in effect. Lifetime warranty?! That’s pretty great and shows that this company stands behind their products. Just be sure to register your purifier on their website when it arrives (or at least within the first month) so they have your purchase on record. After 30 days, whether or not they honor it will be based on your proof of using genuine filter replacements since the original purchase date. Overall, if you’re looking for a high-quality air purifier, with options for both ionization UV light, you cannot go wrong with this Medify model. Medify purifiers as a whole are fantastic and the company stands behind their products. Five stars!

For the record, I am reviewing: Medify MA-40-UV Air Purifier with True HEPA H14 Filter + UV Light | 840 sq ft Coverage | for Allergens, Wildfire Smoke, Dust, Odors, Pollen, Pets | Quiet 99 UPDATE: We live in southern CA, and right now the Flu is going around and it is really bad. Relatives have been sick for 6 to 8 weeks so far and still not getting over it. My husband has it and has been sick for about 9 days so far. I am one of those people that if someone around me gets sick, I GET IT, it just happens. We have isolated my husband in the back of the house and put this filter in the hallway between his bedroom and the rest of the house. he has access to the only bathroom in the house and we have a UVC light in the bathroom to disinfect it after each use. So far, I have not gotten sick and I attribute that to this filter. He has been coughing and has a fever so I know he is contagious. This filter has kept me safe and I am so impressed with it's performance. Having the UVC light inside the filter adds to the protection level and I am ecstatic with it's performance. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BASED ON PERFORMANCE. One last note. They changed the description on this unit. It used to say 840 sqft protection, now it says 1,793 sqft protection. I don't think they changed the unit, and honestly I am not sure why they changed the description. But I believe the 840 may have been more accurate. We purchased this unit about 8 months ago after a water leak and having to replace the roof, insulation and and some drywall. We did not want to have to spend money on a hotel while the work was being done and we had a lot of mold because the leak went undetected for a while. The unit is not as big as I thought it would be, and honestly, I am not sure that 840 sqft is an accurate number for coverage. We used to have a Honeywell round unit that had a much higher cuft/mn output and it was amazing. Of course that one was a lot louder and it blasted the room with air so, trade off is quiet for less air circulation. But that is acceptable. Here is what I like: It is quiet, even on the highest setting, however, I do like white noise when I sleep so I was hoping it would be louder. I still use my sound generator when I sleep with this filter going. The Ionizer is a nice function, and it does not change the smell of the air, like when you are using the UVC light that produces some ozone. The unit does have UVC but it is on a timer and shuts off after a preset amount of time, not sure how long that is because I only use it at night when I go to bed. The light does not escape the unit, well not a lot of light escapes the unit but you can tell when the light is on. We have four cats, and the unit filters the air really well. My bedroom has sunlight that beams thru the window in the morning and if there is any dust in the air you can see it. If I am using the filter there is no dust, the air is 100% clean. I don't use it all the time, but right now we have a lot of fires in our area and their is a health warning out so we have it turned on and filtering the house air. The difference from inside the house to outside is stark like night and day difference. So, I love the unit, it has a nice design, clean, and works great. If you are looking for one that is quiet and works, and has UVC and TRUE HEPA this is a good one to get. I will say this, I learned a long time ago that you do not change the filters on these like they recommend as the filters actually get better over time, not worse. So unless you have a noticeable decrease in air flow, keep using the filter that you got.

Bought the 112 and working so well but we needed more so I purchased the MA 40 , it’s a little louder than my 112 but doesn’t bother me , we put this in area where cat is only allowed in , a little early to tell of this added machine and it’s health benefits for me , I can truly say these machines work !!! Well I have been using these machines for a constant month + - I do see a difference and I’m getting back to myself - I also combine the allergy spray called ‘ Allergy Asthma Clean - the spray works very well - never knew cat allergies could cause chronic fatigue BUT they absolutely can- I’m living proof - my wife’s cat is 16 , I will not get rid of the cat but at least I have answers as to why I felt like I did - Every time I left our house I’d feel great when I’m away 1+ more days but when I came back again within 2 days the chronic fatigue happened- this is all integrated with your fight or flight , your adrenals take abuse if it’s always fighting off allergen and in my case a cat - Again these are working for us and made a huge difference - I’m just a regular guy suffering and this product and the allergen spray has made a HUGE difference - I’m not paid or any BS like that ! Just an honest opinion - be safe Doug

This is a fantastic filter and I highly recommend it! It also has a UV function and my favorite is the Ionizer! By using the ionizer I reduce the dust in the air. The ions attach to the dust and it falls to the ground or a surface. After a good cleaning of this dust, it is much cleaner in my home. The ionizer really works! I LOVE this filter and Medify as a company. I have 2 of these, one for each level. Quick story: When I first got the filter I did not believe it would work very well, I was disappointed by other filters. I had tile work done in a bathroom off a bedroom. Everything was very well covered but the dust of tile and drywall sanding was a white cloud in the room. You could not see from one side of the room to the other. The window could not be opened. I put this filter in the corner of the room and fired it up. I expected it mild improvement and that it would be there all day. Within about 5 minutes, there was NO DUST IN THE AIR! The cloud was 100% GONE! The tile guys were shocked too, they never saw anything like it! I would never recommend you do this because I ruined an expensive filter and spent a day cleaning out every crevice of the machine - but this was absolute proof of how this filter really really works! Since then I purchased one for a family member and another for a different level of my home. I will purchase a few more too. I highly recommend this filter, it really works! If you hate to clean, use the ionizer too. After you get the initial dust cleaned up you will find you don't need to clean as often!

So much less dust in our farmhouse since getting the Medify. We had our floors refinished and the house smelled like stain but the smell was completely gone after using only a few hours. Conveniently acts like a sound machine at night, too!

Ive tried a few different air purifiers in the $200 - $1300 range and this one might be the loudest. The three speeds plus sleep are super loud. Sleep and level one are the same except the lights are off on sleep but still very loud. The lowest setting, level one is louder than most other purifiers on medium or high. It might clean the air but definitely can’t sleep with it on unless you light sleeping in an airplane next to the engine. No phone app or any Wi-Fi controls when pretty much everyone else has them. Was looking forward to MedifyAir but sadly will be returning it as this was supposed to be the one in the bedroom.

Received this to run along with a dehumidifier in a basement that stays very humid. It's seems to be working well, though we have not tested the air quality. The thing we like the most about it is that you can filter the air, ionize it and run the UV light, but you don't have to do all three. You can do one, two or three. The filter is running with the UV light for mold spores. It arrived on time. Very happy with it.

I bought this due to high remarks from others on different websites. However, there is nothing to show you how clean the air is. There is no app for this machine or read on the machine itself. Have to buy a second device to show air quality. Also, no remote control which would be nice to use from my bed as I am disabled. I can get out of bed and to the unit but sometimes with much difficulty. It's on the loud side and I find it to be that way and I have hearing loss in both ears. sleep mode is quieter, but I have to take out my hearing aids so someone with normal hearing may be uncomfortable. I do like the fact this is the new upgrade to the HEPA filter the 14 instead of the 13. I am in hopes it's doing a better job. Using the UV light it seems to have a timer built in it turns off after running for a bit. Found that a little strange/odd. My old air purifier the UV light remained on all the time. I still have my old unit even though it is now ten years old. It works but not as well as it used to. I have severe allergies along with Asthma and I just want the air in my living space to be optimal. Not okay, but optimal! I do not think this is a bad machine but for the money spent, I think it should at least come with a remote. My bad for not noticing this before the purchase. I also do not like the fact that the unit cannot display air quality. I will need to buy a different device for that. So far the indicator light has not come on to change filter, and it's been a couple of months. So, this is good, very good!
