Better than I was expecting

Ok, so before I begin, I’m no expert on ice skates or sharpening stones. My daughter started ice skating lessons and we bought her her own skates, reasonably cheap figure skates. I ordered one of these sharpening fish to help keep them sharp. There are 2 sides on this with different size gaps to fit the blades, I had to use the larger gap to fit hers and for what it’s worth it seems to work, although her blades where sharp to begin with. 2 months on and her skates still seem ok…. Again no expert, just saying this product doesn’t seem to have done any harm! She talked me into having a go on the ice… bit dangerous as I haven’t skated in 30 years. But I went on and was good fun, so much so that I decided this would be good exercise and since I was taking her every week anyway, I might as well join in. Problem was the hire boots really hurt my feet!!! Got a set of Graf 500 secondhand off eBay, £30, Wow… great boots, like brand new, but not very sharp. This, sharpening stone doesn’t fit the blade, blade is too wide, so I got them sharpened professionally at the ice rink, great job. However don’t have a sharpening stone to keep them sharp so will have to look at something else!

Works great on first use. Sharper than the first skate sharpen got them buy a ling way now

Literally broke on the first use and didn’t sharpen ice skates at all. Useless.
