I do not lean towards all-natural or home made cleaning of anything, however, I LOVE SOAP NUTS. 1. The price of detergent makes me mad. 2. I like my clothes and I want them to last as long as possible, so the fewer the chemicals, the better. 3. They do a great job of cleaning! I have 4 dogs and I work in the garden, so I tested the laundry soap on all of the nasty laundry. Everything came out clean and smelling fresh!!It was VERY easy to make!

Update: The seller contacted me immediately after seeing my post and offered a replacement package or refund. I absolutely recommend buying from this seller. I use these soap nuts for everything; from my husbands work clothes to bed sheets. When I wash towels or things that need a reset from bad smells, I put vinegar in the rinse/fabric softener dispenser and when the clothes come out they smell like the soap nuts, which is a smell I really love!I love these soap nuts, they work great and make my laundry smell wonderful without any chemicals. But, I believe that this package was supposed to be sent with all the soap nuts nicely packaged in a brown bag, mine came with the brown bag torn and all the soap it’s floating around in the cloth sack and there was no little bag for washing with the soap nuts. Luckily I had bags that I could use, but I was disappointed that no inspection had been done to see that this package had probably been returned after it had been opened and used. I didn’t return it because I wanted to use the soap it’s right away. I would be perfectly happy with this purchase had it been unused and still sealed.Since it came opened and obviously had not been inspected I cannot give it 5 stars.

I was reading a health blog about soap nuts. Who knew, there is an organic safe for the environment alternative to laundry detergent. What sold me was the afore mentioned plus the cost savings. 4 nut seeds can be used for an entire load of wash and be reused several times. I used 4 soap nuts to wash a set of king sheets and a mattress cover. I am thrilled with the results, clean sheets and no artificial chemicals. I have very sensitive skin and these did not trigger any allergic reactions. I will definitely be purchasing again!

One order of these lasts for months and months, they clean well, are easy to use. They save so much money on detergent and are eco friendly!My concerns: the bag does end up ripping, they should include more than one. These are not enough for heavy duty loads. I recommend adding vinegar in such cases.

I officially love these. I have never heard of soap nuts/berries before. I make my own bath soap and dish soap, but didn't have a laundry or shampoo solution. This solved both. I can't compare to other sellers, as this is my first purchase. But these come in a nice bag. Came with 2 small bags for use in the washing machine. I just put the soap berries in the small bag and throw in the washing machine. I pull out when load is finished and hang the bag on a hanger to dry until next use. So easy! For shampoo or liquid soap just boil the berries and the liquid is ready to go. (I recommend adding flax for shampoo). No plastics, no chemicals, and when the nuts/berries are done they can be thrown in the compost pile. Will be buying again.

I haven't tried it yet. I bought it to make shampoo but after smelling it I feel disinclined to put that in my hair, much less my laundry. I'll need to ask around and see if this smell is normal and will go away or if something is wrong with my particular pack and the nuts are rotten or something. We'll see........ So far I give it one star. Hopefully I'll get to the bottom of this and see if I can add more stars.

These work fine for normally soiled clothes. I need something stronger for heavily soiled like when my husband has been working outdoors all day in the summer.

I have been making my shampoo with these and I really like them.
