Update: I am pleased to update a previous review I submitted for the Heaboli Dash Cam. I initially reached out to Heaboli about a situation concerning the video recording of my dash cam (looped front video camera recordings weren’t available in app). They promptly responded quickly (the next day) but then communication broke down. As it turns out, ties in rectifying the problem were severed by a common technological mishap. Fast forward to yesterday, when, after reestablishing communication with Heaboli support and them ensuring I was a satisfied costumer, I received a new replacement Dash Cam. I maintain from my initial post that the front and rear video recordings are clear and of high quality. Like all devices available these days (dash cams, home security, mobile devices, 4k tv’s etc.) there will be inevitable problems. The difference is, will the manufacturer support you in resolving the issue? Deeper still, will they make the situation 100% right when there is a delay in fixing the problem? Heaboli did. In sum, I now give Heaboli 5/5 stars. Why? Quality recording, overall ease of use and installation, and a commitment to customer support. Original Review: I purchased this Heaboli dash cam July 2022. Installing the actual camera in the car and rear camera is simple. Specifically, the front camera is very clear and has a quality look to it. Initially, setting up the camera through the app and connecting it to the camera wasn’t simple but very doable. Fast forward a few months when the front camera would be recording, however, there would be no looped video of the front camera in the app-it would only be show my rearview looped camera. I sent an email to Heaboli support who quickly responded with a recommendation to adjust a couple settings and that email also said if that doesn’t work email back the dash cam hardware version number. The recommendations that they suggested in settings didn’t work and support never (see above update) followed through with what to do with the version number after sending it to them.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Heaboli dash cam, and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed! First of all, the installation was a breeze. The camera comes with a simple mount that attaches easily to my windshield, and the included cable makes it easy to connect to my car's power outlet. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and I was able to start recording right away. But what really sets this camera apart is its rear camera. The cable is nice and long, making it easy to route it through my car and place the camera in the perfect spot. The image quality is also top-notch, providing a clear view of what's happening behind me. This feature has given me so much peace of mind, especially when reversing out of tight parking spots or driving in heavy traffic. I also love that the camera has a built-in GPS, which allows me to track my route and save it. This is really useful for me, as I can easily see where I've been and how I got there. The only issue I've encountered is that the camera doesn't show an image when I'm using the app. It's not a big deal, but it would be great if this could be fixed in future updates. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the Heaboli dash cam. The installation was simple, the image quality is excellent, and the rear camera and built-in GPS are fantastic features. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality dash cam.

The camera itself is great. Now here are all my cons. Not really deal breakers but just some annoying aspects in my opinion. After my second summer with it. I had to replace the glue because the cam started to fall more and more often. No big deal. Just remove the old glue and clean both, camera and window and add a piece of double sided tape and you’re good to go. Now the app that comes with it sucks. Since day one, it sucks. If you need to save video it’s a little of a hassle and at least the ONE time I needed to save something on my phone, it would only save without the sound. But on the actual camera you could hear the audio, just not in the saved video. I had to record the video of the dash camera with my phone as well smh. Also, it doesn’t rewrite over if memory is full. So make sure to format your memory card every other week depending on your GBs. Best if you make it a habit to format it every week same day, same time. I format mine every Friday night. Decent purchase for the price. Maybe a more expensive one will come with a better app.

Update: 9-23-22. Gonna have to buy a replacement after only 3 months. The camera is no longer functioning as a camera. Does irrational things and is slowly falling apart. The metal plate fell off the front. The camera keeps resetting the date and time. No longer warns you when SD card is full. Just continues operating like its recording but doesn't overwrite old clips or warn you to delete some. So, you think it recorded and you check it and theres nothing recorded for days due to a full card. Despite being warned by Amazon, seller reached out to me again with another harassing email last week.---Update July 12-31st, 2022: seller found my negative review and began harassing me. He has sent me TEN harassing messages, demanding that I return this camera. WHY? Bc he knows that items in temporary "refund status" do NOT count towards review ratings! He is trying to cheat the system by initiating a return I did NOT ask for, and continuing to delay by messaging me TEN TIMES demanding I return the camera so my negative review won't count against him. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU......1) "report seller" in message portal, 2) contact customer service by phone and tell them what's happening.-----OP July 9th, 2022: Heaboli app is a piece of absolute trash--crashes, then crashes your phone's functions and impacts phone's wifi functions with all wifi after downloading. Not even worth downloading the app. That 4 hour drive on vacation? Guess what? You're only going to get to see the last 3 minutes of it! When the camera description says "3 minute looping" that does NOT mean it removes older files to make room for current video being recorded. IT MEANS......no matter how long your drive, you will only get to see the last 3 minutes of it! The description makes it sound like "this camera records in 3 minute segments"....when....it actually overwrites the footage every 3 minutes, even as it is currently recording. It overwrites the EXISTING video being recorded every 3 mins. And, if something does happen, touching the "lock symbol" to lock/save that video clip (even within 3 minutes time of the event) does absolutely nothing to save a video from being overwritten. It is nonfunctional. You have to immediately turn off the camera and turn it back on so it doesn't overwrite that footage that it just recorded.....shut it off and back on to save the incident you just recorded. What trash. Manual downloading of files is only way to get videos off camera. Camera records great video, but has severe glitches in camera software that make it impossible to download onto laptop from cord. Only option is to remove SD card from camera and insert into a phone/laptop to remove/move/upload videos. DONT DARE plug your phone power cord into the 12v adapter that the camera is powered by! It actually DRAINS your phone of battery rather than charging it and sends your phone battery charge to the camera instead! Customer service is nonexistent. Only email. Responses are broken English, unhelpful and completely irrelevant to the problems experienced. I gave up trying. Trend Micro protection is downloaded to my phone and it sends RED alert warnings to my phone about the privacy and security issues with Heaboli app, INCLUDING THAT THE APP HAS THE ABILITY TO STEAL YOUR DATA AND CLONE YOUR PHONE WHEN INSTALLED.....this is a concern given its Chinese owners and hacking issues with China...NOT saying it has happened...but my phone is having severe issues since I downloaded it, RE-downloaded it 4x more to try to get it to work and now I removed it but phone is still having wifi and data connection issues and someone is making calls from my phone that appear in my phone call log but were never placed by me. BEWARE....there is NO video editing software for Heaboli cameras! Nothing for laptops...nothing on the camera itself....nothing in the app. The sellers NEVER provided any software on the camera or any online download for a laptop to do some of the functions this product advertises i.e. "remove audio", etc. There is NO way to do that. Even programs I normally use on my laptop already wont allow this file to be edited in any way, except shortening or cropping pieces of it. The camera stores the files encrypted and theyre locked for editing and there is no program I have tried that allows anything to be done with the files (Ive tried 6). Gave 2 stars for the hardware and cameras themselves. Gave -10 stars for the camera software, worthless app, worthless customer service and unable to edit videos or even retrieve them from the camera. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I looked at many reviews for dash cams on Amazon and Youtube. Before purchasing the Heaboli dash cam, I actually had ordered 2 other brands (which I will not name). The first other brand camera; I could never get an SD card ordered for it. The second other brand camera-the app would not work at all to be able to look at videos from the dash cam on my phone. This Heaboli camera has great picture quality, with 4K in the front, and 1080P in the back. For the price point as well, it is great this unit has both front and rear cameras. It was easy to run the wire from the front to the back of my car under the headliner for the rear cam. This is only the third day I have used this camera system. I have not completely tried to figure out all the features on this camera yet. There are a lot. I have tried the Wi-Fi feature and paired it to my phone to look at the videos after downloading the Heaboli App from the Google Playstore. Here are a couple of the great features: According to what I have read in the manual, this camera does have a built in battery so you can use the parking sensor mode and not have to rely on your car battery. I have only tried it once for a short trip into the grocery. The second feature I really like is that it has an easy magnetic connect/disconnect for the camera from the GPS sensor that is stuck to the electrostatic film which is stuck to the windshield. A lot of other dash cams have a suction cup or you have to I guess leave the camera stuck to the electrostatic film on the windshield.

Follow up after few weeks. I had made several road trips after I installed the dash cam. The video quality is pretty good. However, you have to format the SD card from time to time, otherwise the emergency file folds could be filled and not able to keep latest incidents. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My old 720P resolution dash cam started to show signs of aging after few years. With the worsen traffic and criminal records in Nor CAL area, I would not risk of going out without a good dash cam. My priority is a 4K front resolution with rear camera, plus parking monitor, as I read few "hit 'n run" incidents in nearby malls, including one from the Costco recently. I am not tech savvy enough to hardwire the power cord into fuse box for continuous parking monitor after power off, thus the one dash cam with a small built-in battery for few hours parking monitor became my first choice. Of course the price has to be affordable. After certain survey, I decided to go with the Heaboli HP88, which almost meets all my wants. The only concern I have left is whether the included rear camera cable long enough for my minivan. I sent an inquiry email to its tech support team, and gladly received its positive reply overnight. Upon receiving the new unit, I found the package was good ovre all. The manual was readable, installation guide was clear enough. Android APP was easy to download and setup, but could need some fine tweek. The included self-adhesive fixer and pryer were quite handy. I watched some Youtube clips, and had some knowledge before I started to install. I needed to replace the existing Micro USB cigarette charger with the newer USB C, which increased some extra efforts. Otherwise the total installation process was quite smooth and took about 40 minutes. I was worrying the length of rear cable, turned out I need to found a place to hide the extra 2+ ft excess cables. Have not started to do a road trip to test it yet, but hoping for the 4K resolution should offer much better video images than my previou 720K. I will do a follow up review after few weeks of usage if needed. So far I am quite satisfy with the product built quality, as well as prompt technical support response. Hope it could last another few years and never need to review the clips whatsoever.

This dash cam is excellent! Installation was very easy, and it even comes with extra installation tools and two pieces of double-sided tape. Both the front and rear cameras have great image quality, and the touchscreen interface is very easy to use. I really like it!
