Des does a great job explaining the construction of these knots with clear text and illustrations. An asset to the novice or expert. I would highly recommend this book.

Knot tyers delight. Another fine book from Des Pawson. Some tyers take pleasure in hand drawn knot instruction - the standard before YouTube for hundreds of years. Beautifully illustrated.

This is a sublime and majestic book. Not only does it have a wonderfully selection of knots and mats to learn but it is interestingly written with a explanation of tools and methods and a background of the knots. Also each one has a beautiful drawing of how it should look whilst fulfilling is task. They make the book feel reminiscent of nautical history. I’ve made some of the knots already. They are a great pastime in the evenings and give a great deal of satisfaction.

ho cercato questo libro dopo aver visto i video di Mikko Snellman in cui, peraltro, viene mostrata una copia che l'autore ha autografato per Mikko.Bel libro dove figurano illustrazioni a disegno, ottime per imparare, e foto di progetti finiti.Tante le proposte e molti gli inviti a sperimentare e poi c'è il grande vantaggio che alcuni progetti sono spiegati anche dai video di Mikko.Vale la pena di averlo
