I really liked these socks but purchased them as a Christmas gift. Only to find out later the outdoorsy guy wears special winter socks. His daughter kept them for herself. I know, it was a gift. Anyway, the socks felt well-made, soft, warm, and worth the money. That's as close as I got to them. After Christmas, the price increased outrageously.

Have to admit, the socks are great especially when working outside during the winter months.
