Serta® Smart Layers™ Hensley Big & Tall Ergonomic Bonded Leather High-Back Office Chair, Roasted Chestnut/Satin Nickel

Bought as a replacement for previous Serta chair I had for several years, and cannot go back to a cheaper version. This is the chair I will purchase again as needed, and it lasts a long time.

I am neither big nor tall, but after I "sit-tested" this chair at a local office supply store several times, I knew it was the right chair for me (especially the Serta-soft seat). I bought it on Amazon because the Amazin' Deals price was considerably less than the store price. The chair was delivered promptly, all of the parts and pieces were in the box and in pristine condition, and there were no problems getting it assembled. Also, a special thanks to (1) the Amazin' Deals rep who answered all my questions before I bought the chair, and then stayed in touch with me about the delivery date, and (2) the delivery driver who kindly helped me get the very heavy box inside my front door. Five stars for the chair, the vendor, and the delivery company.

Found this chair at a local chain. Very comfortable! Found it for $60 less from this seller "Ⓐmazin' Ⓓeals". Bought the chair. Received it on time. Chair was the brand and style of chair I looked at but did not feel the same - not comfortable! Returned the chair. The seller charged me for return shipping - 58.25. This is the first time an Amazon seller has done this. Luckily they did not charge me restocking fees but told me they could. Had I known about the return shipping and potential restocking fees, I would not have ordered from this seller. I want to prevent anyone from making the mistake I made.

Bought my first Hensley 6 years ago -- it's still going strong! Needed a second one for another home space -- this chair by Serta is the ONLY one that fits Big and Tall, truly! There might be one other brand, but it offered only a mesh back, not upholstered and plush like this model. I was so glad they're still making these! This chair has the TALLEST BACK of any executive chairs out there -- and the 400 lb. capacity means pure comfort. I can sit in this for hours with no problems. Easy to assemble, too, with a wide-handled wrench included (as opposed to a skinny, angled, hex wrench) and extra bolts (if you fumble and lose one). I'm 6'3" and 260 lbs, truly Big and Tall -- if you're in the same size neighborhood, you won't regret buying one of these!

I bought a previous model of the chair from Staples for my wife 8 years ago. Great chair. Time for me to get a new chair and saw this one on Amazon. Purchased the chair from Amazin' Deals through Amazon and it was supposed to be delivered in about 2 weeks. At two weeks the order status changed to delayed. No revised anticipated arrival date. Just delayed. It took a while to get a hold of someone at Amazin Deals who told my they did not know when it would arrive, but it would be soon. They agreed to keep me updated on status. At 5 weeks, still delayed, no updates. Called the seller again who told me it was delivered to my PO box the day before. Would have been nice if they sent me an update before it was delivered. Lucky for them I did not cancel the order before it was finally delivered or on the day it was delivered.It is a very comfortable chair. I like it. The seller needs to up their customer service. They were good on the phone, but they need to keep the order status posted on Amazon updated.

Received the chair very timely. I actually dropped the seat base while unpacking and cracked part of the tension adjustment piece. The Serta support was amazing. They took care of my issue and shipped me a replacement part out quickly. Hopefully you do not have to use the support but it was pretty straightforward. I had already chosen this chair by sitting in multiple options at Office Depot. It was also very straightforward with the assembly. Every thing you need comes with the chair and the instructions and numbering of parts is done well.

This chair SHOULD be the most comfortable chair ever, but it's not. The manufacturer (True Inovations) makes it for Serta, and seem to do a good job. The leather is as nice as I've seen on a sub-$800 office chair, and the padding on the bottom and back cushion is THICK and COMFY ! And the fabric on the sides of the cushions allows all the air to leak out when you sit down without it making a whooshing noise.So what's the issue? Well, it seems they did not design a new base and back to account for all that padding. Because of how thick the backrest padding is, I sit more forward in the chair than I do in other chairs, leaving the front of my legs hanging off the bottom cushion a ways.And because the bottom cushion is so thick, my feet don't sit flat on the floor. And I'm 6'2" !Thirdly, the shape of the rear cushion is such that I'm sit bolt upright.If they're going to put this much cushion in a chair, they need to use a shorter hydraulic piston, and the backrest needs to attach further back on the base.I scheduled a return, and it looks like the buyer needs to pay for the return shipping. It's a huge box that I need to pay to mail to Georgia.

I just bought my 2nd one. I use both and it is a great product. Very comfortable and sturdy. Dont buy an Xchair. This is half the price.
