Blown away by author's effective use of language
This was my first book on B. Gita as I will next be reading a more detailed translation. As a first timer and a western, I was blown away by the efficacy of Mr. Chetan's use of English language. I also loved the summary at the end of each chapter (Key Takeaways). Just a great start for any aspiring Gita readers/students I would recommend this book very highly. Lastly, after I finished the book, I wrote an email to the author as the email address was provided in the book. I received a detailed response to my email question, as well as a great insight that touched exactly the point I was addressing. Thank you Hari, and please keep up the good work!

Beautiful Summery
Life changing with excellent explanation! I recommend the whole series from the BHAGAVAD GITA , translated by Hari Chetan , along with 30 Days TO UNDERSTANDING THE BHAGAVAD GITA , The BHAGAVAD GITA SUMMARIZED AND SIMPLIFIED and BHAGAVAD GITA, THE PERFECT PHILOSOPHY by Hari Chetan . I personally read them all as a weekly study guide , such a beautiful experience. Blessings

Read the 4 books, now I know why I should care about the Gita
My first introduction to the Bhagavad Gita was in High School where it was presented as an example of World Literature. Not a good start. Since then I have learned that it is a presentation of the major branches of Yoga, but it seemed very theoretical. It seemed to be a book that people liked to talk about, but no one knew what to do with it. So I saw that the first book in the series was free and I enjoyed reading why I should care about the Bhagavad Gita and how it applies to daily life. That led to buying the remaining three. I enjoyed reading about the Gita when it is presented by someone who genuinely values and appreciates the book. It was something I'd never seen before: explicit, concise instruction on how to understand and apply the lessons. I followed up by reading other books about the Gita, but they could have been better and they were a lot harder to pay attention to when I was reading them. I'll admit it. My mind wandered. That just made me appreciate this series of books even more. They pulled me in.

This author does a wonderful and thorough job of relating the Bhagavad Gita philosophy into todays language and understanding. I actually have all of his books as a student of the Gita I find his works to be most useful

A perfect summary of the Bhagavad Gita
As the name perfectly says, this is a simplified and shortened version of the holy word of God - the Bhagavad Gita. But that does not mean that there anything that is missing from here. It is a perfect guide for one who has read the Bhagavad Gita and wants a summary for reference. And to one who is afraid to read the Gita as it look complicated this can be a great starting point. The chapter ‘The Bhagavad Gita in a Nutshell’ amazingly captures the crux of the Gita, and the Key Takeaways at the end of each chapter summarize all important points. Overall an awesome book for all students of Vedic literature.

Appreciate the work. But does more damage then good.
Firstly would like to acknowledge the authors time and passion to write. Having bought the Kindle out of curiosity to see what material is being put out into "pop spiritual culture", my original suspicions were confirmed. I pray to anyone who reads this book, to not walk away with NEW doubts. For example here's 2 (and I know the author may attack these as whenever you provide some material, it always gets countered to justify one's original position):1) In the Vedic culture, there's no one single mention of word "Soul". It's an English word that gets mixed up with all sorts of funny spiritual notions. Soul as one who leaves the body (antaḥkaraṇa). Soul as Ātman. Soul as spirit.2) Dualistic ISCON-sounding statements like: "Krishna is the Supreme God who lives as a soul in all living beings.". It's no different then saying "Jesus is the Supreme God who...".So now, imagine what take away's a beginner will walk away from:1) Soul!! Yet, not a single Vedanta teacher (one who expounds the original terminology in Sanskrit) ever mentions.2) Krishna is the Lord to pray to, and not Rama nor Vishnu, nor XYZ!These two notions teachers constantly have to address from beginner seekers.Unfortunately, this comment won't make any difference in big picture. Thousands more books with half truths, half confusions... such as this book, get released each year.
