Can this make 1/2 inch crimps?

The crimper is 8.5 inches wide. It’s primarily designed to use 8.5x11 sheets but, can crimp longer sheets.

Can you purchase different crimps or do you have to a whole different tool for the hearts bubbles etc

You would have to purchase a whole different tool.

For the life of me, I can't seem to load the paper and use this paper crimper as the drawing shows. Can you explain how you do it successfully? Thanks

you just insert the paper and hit the button until the paper is complete out on other side from insertion point
