Finally after 30 years of using printers. This is the best ink and printer HP 790 in the world. Original printer and ink, non clogging, back to back printing, ADF. Value for money. We bought a new printer as we needed to print a lot of pages in the exam season. The print quality is great but the printer started giving errors every few minutes ("print head" error). I called Amazon helpline but they washed their hands off it (so, if you do buy this product, better to buy at an offline dealer who can provide some support on a brand new product) I called HP helpline. They claimed that the product warranty is over based on the serial number. When I told them that I just bought it 3 days ago from Amazon, they asked me for invoice and other documents and after 4-5 days, they rectified the warranty. Meanwhile, I logged a separate complaint for a technician to visit. Firstly, they took 2 days to visit after a follow-on call. The technician initally said, it was a both the print heads were damaged. But later they agreed to replace the parts. After 3 days, they came with a 'sensor' which they said was the problem and not the printheads. They replaced and it is working fine (though it is just 2 days since the repair happened). Overall, very disappointed that a brand new product from HP came with a faulty sensor. While I am grateful that they repaired it, I don't feel good that it is flawless after paying over 20,000 for it. And main lesson learnt it such products aren't worth buying online since these platforms take zero responsibility for any after-sales issues.

It's one of the most economical all in printer in the market. Easy to set up and looks good. The only issue I have always had with all HP printers, this one being no different is the ADF which sometimes give trouble as papers get stuck. Of course,my main reason to buy this was for prints and not scanning. If you are into bill scanning, is suggest buy a stand alone scanner. Other than that thia is the best printer if you want good prints at decent per page cost. Giving one less star because of the ADF issues.

1. Printer is slight difficult to install for an average user. (Reason : There are a few detachable protective parts which needs to be removed before actual start. These parts are provided so that printer head does not get damaged during transit. But removal of those detachable parts is not for faint hearted because novice user will need lot of courage to do so with a fear that something will broke !) 2. Ink loading : Easy and magical. But again average user will fear in pressing the ink bottle upside down over printer with a fear that what if it spills...!! But it does not spill. 3. Printer noise : Have you seen Transformers movie? If yes, my first impression is 'vola ! this baby is making such a noise , it is going to now transform to some robot. But that did not happened (lol). But the point is printer initialisation is quite noise with 'purr..purr' and 'tik_tak_purr...whoose' noise. But when it starts printing papers, it is sort of sliky smooth and minimum noise. 4. Printer quality : It's HP ! 5. Software setup : Slight difficult for first time user of this kind of printer. But software functions are very easy to understand. You can have custom profile for your print so that you need not tinker with settings every time. 6. Connectivity : WiFi, WifiDirect,USB - what else you need Bluetooth...nah! 7. Functions : May be....May be only printer that has Duplex unit as well as auto feeder for scanner. I believe such features are unique on laser jet printer but this printer has those and it is its Unique Selling Point. 8. Price : Slight pricy but with plethora of features price should not be an issue for user who needs some quality product from reputed company having tons of practical functionality.

I have been using HP DJ 1050 for 20 years ( yes, twenty ! ) . It is still working good. Paper try was broken few years ago , still able to use it. Only concern was high cartridge use. Usage has increased, hence wanted to go for new one. Question was, which brand I should go for .. none other than the one which lasted for more than 20 years ! The new HP smart tank 670 printer was my choice.. - It has ink tank expecting lesser printing cost - It can be connected via WiFi and Wifi Direct, no hazzeles of wires . When you use WiFi direct, you don't need a wifi router. Also if needed you can connect via USB ( and I guess via Bluetooth too, eventhough I have not tried to configure it) - It has duplex printing, without manual intervention, lot of paper and effort saving. - Colour Amazon delivery was as expected, dot on the date of delivery. Initially I thought of waiting for HP person to install the printer. However I wanted to give a try before that. As mentioned in the manual sheet, installed HP smart app in my laptop. And followed evey instruction by the app, starting from removing the safety tapes, cardboard etc inside the printer , filling the ink , installing printer head, etc. to final test print , wifi configuration and all. At every point, app on the laptop says successful or not. It was a super smooth installation without any hic ups. Being an ex IT person helped me or rather gave me a confidence to take a chance to install by my own. HP installation technician called me to visit next day, which I said not necessary. Today is the 4th day of installation, I have taken nearly 50 pages of print outs , I'm quite happy about my choice !

The printer came in secure packing and the build quality is very good. Instructions for setup were straightforward, and connection to the HP Smart app was relatively simple. Received service assistance calls and emails which was appreciated, in case of any difficulty. This version (790) has a convenient auto-duplex printing mode that allows 2 sided printing automatically without manual intervention. The scan/copy sorter on the top of the machine is an added bonus. This particular model has an interactive and detailed touch screen display which allows almost all operations to be performed without connection to an app - this is now rare in most other printers where the on-board interface is very limited in functionality. Print quality on all modes is crisp and clear, with decent printing speeds. Just installed the unit, so yet to determine average cost per page, but it will be much more economical than cartridge based printers. Overall, a very good purchase.

RIDICULOUS AND VERY SLOW CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROCESS My Printer is not feeding in paper ("E4" error) when print command is sent. Called support help line. They said their authorised service center will contact via email with quotation. Firstly, no email contact was made by them for a very long time. When I called them again, they said the service center had been blacklisted, and they would now refer my case to another one (why couldn't they automatically transfer my case in the first place without me requiring to call them, when they themselves had blacklisted it). While the new service center contacted with quotation, their process is really RIDICULOUS - First make payment for the visit fee, then they will schedule visit - during visit if any parts identified to be replaced, they will send another quotation after 2 days, then we pay in advance, then they will order parts, then they will again schedule visit... This is worse than bureaucracy in govt orders... Why can they not carry parts while making the support visit based on the symptoms/error code? In my case the first technician arrived after multiple followups. He had zero knowledge. He tried convincing me that it was printer heads issue - which was illogical - I made him accept that this was not the issue. He then delegated the case to another technician, who arrived after 4 days and multiple followups. This technician, after a lot of "troubleshooting" has stated today that it "looks like" issue with the backbone (which will cost ~6K), and another part (wiper) also "may" need to be changed. But he is not confident about it. According to him, he is not even sure the part (wiper) would be available - how can a part not be available for a running product (this model is still available for sale on Amazon)? I again will need to prepay for the parts after they send quotation after 2 days - then they will order parts, then schedule visit again... Not sure it would work anyway... Long story short - WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT for a sub-standard product

Printing from mobile made easy.Colour quality 👌 Duplex printer very good over all. Little expensive. You can go for buying this printer. Photo printing also good. I will give 4 star. Since101 pages, in Duplex sided printing it took around 30 minutes.Wifi ,wifi direct both are working fine. Quality of Printer may not be good since it's made up of Less quality plastics,Handling printer must be cautious.while checking warrenty only valid for 6 months. Manufacturing warranty expired.
