It works like a mirror, but it's not a real mirror, so it needs more light. The 'mirrors' are polished metal that's extremely reflective. It seems like it was designed to be nearly indestructible and it uses a piano style hinge. I'm torn between four and five stars, because it's almost as good as a real mirror. It's a great choice if you're looking for something that can take a beating and is small in size. The case is very tastefully done. It's kind of like a little leather wallet whenever it's closed.

Whenever I'm out-and-about, I'm frequently performing maintenance on my face to clear it of anything unsightly (eyelashes, debris, etc.). This mirror's COMPACT size is perfect and NEVER feels uncomfortable in my pocket. I'm able to perform various activities without the mirror feeling like it's poking at my leg or getting in the way. The 2 ZOOM levels make it perfect to get a CLOSER look at parts of my face needing touch-up (2x zoom) or for getting an OVERALL look for full context (1x zoom). The material lining the outer sides of the unit isn't decorative, but simple enough that it doesn't draw attention to it each time I use it (which is preferable to my tastes anyway). Its softness also adds to the comfort of keeping it in my pocket. The hinge is STABLE enough that it doesn't feel like a chore opening it up and isn't so light that it feels cheap either. It has a MODERATE weight to it which, alone, is heavy enough to open and close the mirror (if held at the right angles), but is never an issue in my daily routine. The only DOWNSIDE I see here is that the metal TRIMS surrounding the mirrors make contact when closed, so there is some minor scuffing where they meet. The UPSIDE though is that the MIRRORS themselves are PROTECTED and never make contact. The scuffs don't bother me since I'm more interested in the mirrors themselves. If you want to minimize scuffing, then placing a layer of SOFT fabric in-between the mirrors when CLOSING it might help. Overall, I'm quite SATISFIED with this purchase and heavily RECOMMEND this to others. Minor trim scuffing aside, the unit's COMPACT size and design make this a GREAT BUY.

Perfect size for my purse or desk! Looks bougie too with the leather-like type cover, and it has a regular side to it, and then the magnifying side. These would make great lil gifts or stocking stuffers!

This is a very well made compact mirror. It is exactly as photos show and the description is 💯 accurate. It has a bit of a soft-touch textile outer, thats perfect for its grip value for holding, they did this exactly right. Thought went into the quality, construction, appearance and function of this small pocket size dual mirror. Its so slim when closed, it could slip into a small pocket easily and wouldnt know its there. Crystal clear mirrors, one magnify and one regular. Sturdy steel contruction with gleaming quality hinge tbat provides the perfect amount of tension so the mirror will never unfold by accident AND it will stay-put then you unfold it to any position for holding or if you set it down on a surface at the angle you want it will STAY in that position. Thats really important. This feels and looks ecpensive but somehow its a bargain! Value for money 💯👌🏼. Buy as small gift for someone too! Get a couple for yourself, keep one in your car! You will not be disappointed. Really recommend. Great product, great price 👍🏼

Good mirror. My only concern is a little heavy.

I really like this mirror. One side is magnified over the other. And there is a magnetic closure so it stays shut after you close it. Very well-made and a good size.
