Bought this wooden clock to make during lockdown.The pack is quite small and the pieces are all on two wooden boards with numbers attached to each piece.The instructions are just small images and quite hard to see and sometime difficult to understand. Saying that I managed to complete it.Some of the pieces did break slightly whilst trying to put them in, even though I was being super careful and not heavy handed. Plus some were stubborn and not cut the best so they were hard to put in.It took about 2 hours to make and it looks good and all the parts move.Not sure how well a child would get on with it though due to the lack of clear instructions and hard to place pieces sometime.

Great fun to construct- precision-cut parts fit together nicely. One caution- the finished product is quite small but that’s down to the purchaser reading the fine print of the product description.

Well made pieces, fit together exactly. Requires a bit of thought to make so I agree with the 14 plus age band. Provided us with a peaceful boxing day as concentration was needed! Will definitely buy from this manufacturer again

Handle the pieces with care as they're rather delicate! The instructions ask you to wax some pieces so they move effortlessly, I used clear shoe wax as I didn't have any candle handy - don't miss this step!Be careful not to insert the long pieces wrong, I had to undue one after lots of progress and risked breaking it, otherwise utterly enjoyable. I think this is good value for money because it's very well done, however bear in mind that the final craft is rather small, it stands at approx. 12cm. Difficulty it's low, I'd say entry level, few pieces, fast to assemble -not including the waxing time-. Would most likely buy more from this seller, and recommend for your own entertainment or as a gift. Happy customer here :)

Purchased this for something to do during the lockdown. It only took about an hour to build, but since it's the first such thing I've done, that's probably a good thing!The pieces arrive on two sheets of plywood, pre-punched. I expected to have some difficulty extracting some of them, but the were all fairly easy, even some of the narrow bits like the pegs everything revolves on. One or two of the more ornate bits require gentle handling, but it all comes out easily.The build instructions, although pictures only, are clear and concise, and each stage is fairly simple, although orientation of the cogs and such on to the pegs seems to matter a little more than is indicated. Once or twice, the force required to fit a piece in place had me slightly worried about the durability of the material, but it all went together, and nothing broke.I didn't have a candle to hand to grease the parts, but on full assembly (and a little coaxing of the gears to mesh), all parts turn freely in either direction - all told, an extremely successful first build, and I'm already looking for another model! Highly recommended as a beginners kit!
