A must have for DIY!
I was doing a shower remodel in our home that involved some stud and floor joist work. I thought that using pocket holes might make the process a little easier specially for the blocking, so I ordered this one in an attempt to not spend a ton of money on the Kreg brand units. I’m glad I did. This pocket hole jig worked fabulously for what I needed. It’s mostly made of plastic, but honestly it held up fine for my uses. If you make furniture for a living, you might want a higher quality unit. But for the average DIY’er this thing is great. The clamp that comes with it is fabulous and I really like the drill bit too. The pilot tip on the drill bit works really well and make it easy to place your screws when you’re ready. You’ll inevitably shave a little of the metal off the hole guards, but that’s to be expected. Just make sure you hold your drill steady and straight. This made my shower remodel project go very smoothly, much smoother than trying to drill 45-70 degree screws by hand.

Sliding gauge for flawless setup , perfect for beginners
I was on a budget so I tried this brand . It has worked just as good . For beginners in wood working. The sliding gauge is great for setting proper placement according to your wood thickness. The bare minimum models don't have this . This keeps your screws from drilling outside the edge of your wood . Where you don't want things to show . I still glue up , but this insures it going to hold . Great set for the price . If on a budget highly recommend this setup . Roger

Ok construction, use lubricant, replace screws
Quality is fine for a home DIY project. Clamp is a bit hard to adjust and the all plastic construction makes it difficult to get repeatable results, but it worked well enough. I used silicone lubricant on the drill bit to improve the motion through the guide. I’m taking one star off for the screws and square driver. They are almost unusable, I substituted them for 1 1/4 decking T-25 screws and a 6in impact driver bit, this $10 upgrade made my pocket holes much more secure.

Easiest jig I've used
First off, let me say, I bought this because I didn't have $50 to spend on the big name brand of the same product. But I am glad I bought this. I feel it works just as easy, if not easier and better than the big name brand of pocket hole jig. We all know who that is... Versatility, this jig has its own pouch to carry everything in, so it's easily picked up and carried along. If you just want the jig, but nothing else, then it's small enough to slip into your pocket to take with you. Accuracy is spot on, I used it to drill pocket holes on some furniture I'm building and it's perfect. Even with the 15 degree angled edge. Adjustability: it has up to 2" if not more of adjustment depending how thick or thin your project is gonna be. It's easy to adjust, just slide the end to the desired length and boom. Locked in.

Caution! The hex screw rounding and strips
I worked the heck out of this little tool, but have only had it for about a month. It works good, but one thing to consider... The little depth stop collar has a hex head nut that comes loose easily and if not cautious it causing over drilling and unusable holes. The nut in the collar comes with a small Allen wrench for adjusting. After extended use the wrench became rounded and ineffective. When I replaced the wrench with a better one I noticed the nut hex screw rounding/stripping too. When you tighten the nut its impossible to remove the wrench out of the rounded hole. Good tool for the price, but doesn't last long.

Awesome quality without paying for names
I bought this for my startup furniture company, went through all the options and for the price tag, without the huge “name brands” this one I had high hopes for, and man it exceeded what I could even hope for, the clamp is stronger than I expected, the bit is SOLID high quality, and the unit? I guess we could call it is super easy to use, place and maneuver.. I got an email shortly after from the company asking if I was satisfied and I have no doubt that if I wasn’t they would’ve made it right in anyway possible… could not recommend this anymore than I do!

Don't purchase. Broke after minimal use.
DO NOT PURCHASE. After the 5th pocket hole drilled, the left pocket hole sleeve pulled right out and got stuck on the drill bit. While doing so, the bit also broke the tip off inside the hole which caused the pocket hole jig practically useless and the drill bit completely useless. Wood being used was pine. The only good thing with this product so far was the clamp.

Works perfectly for hidden screws in joining pieces of wood. Adjustable for various thicknesses of material. Clamp holds jig in place while drilling pilot holes in wood piece.

This jig kit allows the pocket holes to be nicely drilled. However, you will immediately see that the metal and plastic in the jig is being warn down as you create more pocket holes. I do not expect this to keep any accuracy beyond 40-50 holes drilled. Better to invest in a jig made of durable materials (hard metal).
