These are great for breakfast on the go. My kids love them! Especially when we are running late for school and need something they can take in the car. They fill them up and get them through until lunch. The calorie content isn't too high and has a great amount of protein to give them energy. They love the chocolatey smell and they think they are drinking a chocolate shake. :)

I've come to depend on these little cartons of deliciousness to fill the gaps in my nutrition caused by working 2nd shift and having the eating habits/palate of a 12-year-old. Frequently I'll have one of these after a meal, especially something spicy. They taste great and are small enough to chug down very quickly, leaving a nice mouth feel and sealing in the spicy stuff.I love that they're reasonably priced (24-pack lasts a while!), though I wish the strawberry flavor was on sale as frequently as the chocolate. I prefer the strawberry for flavor but both are quite tasty.

I have been a Optimum Nutrition guy for many years but switched to these for a change. Not only are they delicious, they have 100 more calories than ON Gold Standard, 10g of protein, 3g fiber, and you get a 24 pack for the price is a 12 pack of the O.N. If course there are trade-offs, O.N. has twice as much protein, but the serving is bigger, 11oz vs 8oz. And only 1g sugar vs 11 in the Carnation version. They're comparable so far as vitamin and mineral content. Still, the Value is tough to beat, and double the price is hard to justify unless you're a pro athlete.

The taste and texture are just like chocolate milk. And, unlike Premier Protein, there is no artificial sweetener aftertaste! I'm drinking these to supplement my diet because I've lost lots of weight. Just discovered that Boost is also a Nestle product with similar ingredients, but with higher calorie options. I plan to do a taste comparison to see if it's as good as the Breakfast Essentials - but for now, this is just what I hoped for.

I have a skinny minnie. She doesn't like to eat breakfast before she goes to school so she takes one of these to drink on the bus. We also have her drink one after school. So far, so good! She loves the taste which is good because she's a picky eater.

Good quality for the price. Calories and protein are great for the size. Easy to drink unlike some protein drinks that can be a bit too thick.
