Bought these ice cube trays over four months ago to replace the cheap solid plastic tray that came with our fridge/freezer. These trays are great! They come with cover lids to stop spillage, and the silicon cube bases make it so easy to pop the ice cubs out. The trays have lasted really well and do not look like they will crack or break like our old tray. Up to you if you need to use the clear cover lids. Some reviewers have said that they struggled to remove these, but I've never found that to be the issue. They do make stacking easier in the freezer, and to avoid spillage. Important tip: Remember that water expands when it freezes, so you don't have to fill the reservoirs, just top them up to 4/5. If you do overfill your ice tray compartments, then water overflows and makes it harder to 'crack' the tray to release the ice.

The 5* overall rating is because, generally, they are very good ice cube trays. 4* is given because the lid is a bit of an effort to remove - even if put on lightly it tends to 'stick' - perhaps best left off. 5* for easy to clean - there are no awkward corners. All round, they are favourably recommended.

The bottom part of the tray is silicone which makes it very easy to pop the ice cubes out. The lids are great as if you can find completely flat space in the freezer they won’t leak

Practical and easy to use With their see through lids and a soft bottom of the cubes so it is really easy to push out the ice cubes or herb mix I use them for. My favourites !
