Frescobaldi Laudemio Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16.9 fl oz, 3 Pack With Mini Funnel

So we spent 8 days in the Langhe area of the Piedmont region of Italy last month on a food trip with a chef and her sommelier husband. This was where I was introduced to this oil. It was placed on the table at a lovely Michelin starred restaurant where we had lunch. I was familiar with Frescobaldi wines, but was unaware that they also produce olive oil. Laudemio means the oil is not only from the first press, but from the same day the olives are harvested. Freshest of the fresh. It is different from anything else. It's a gorgeous color and has a brisk bite to it. It is expensive so it really is wasted on any sort of cooking. It is a great finishing oil splashed on soup, pasta, fish or a great grilled piece of meat. Lovely to dip crispy bread or on a salad with a little lemon. I brought several bottles back but have since ordered from Amazon. It is the same oil and I am thrilled to find it. Best to find "vintage" not much more than two years old. Once opened, use within 18 months (although I really cannot imagine it not being gone long before that!). Others make Laudemio, but I'm sticking with Frescobaldi.

We love this olive oil! We love cooking, and we try not to use this oil for everything, but, it is hard to use anything else once you try this one! It is especially delicious on fresh bread as the taste is so pure and delicious! Thank-you for selling this oil! We live in a remote area, so we were thrilled to be able to order it on Amazon! This is the next best thing to being in Italy or Spain, two countries we love!

We brought this back from Italy last year after visiting the Frescobaldi Nippozano Winery and LOVE this olive oil. Was SOOOOO excited to see we could buy it on Amazon! As a very wise Italian winery owner told me, if you are paying less than $25+ US dollars a bottle for olive oil then your getting total crap and wasting your money. The taste difference is HUGE both when used on it's own and when cooking. I'll never buy the cheap stuff again!

Not a fan if bottling. Prefer the glass bottle. Oil spectacular

This is the best olive oil I've ever had in my life. It must be the best in the world. Use is carefully when you really want to enjoy the taste of an olive oil that is in a completely different league than what you can get at local delis.Worth every penny.
