What can I say, this is the worst thing I've ever put on any computer. It took me to the blue screen of death a number of times before I figured out what was happening. The USB ports didn't recognize any flash drives and yes, I wired it correctly. It's not user friendly, the cables are too short (I had to buy an extension for the audio cable (that was one of the main reasons I purchased this) the SATA cables were so tight that if my SATA ports were around the corner instead of on the back of the motherboard, I wouldn't have been able to plug them in.NO I would not recommend this to anyone.

Great way to upgrade an old computer case

As it says, most of the slots quit working after a few months. A piece also fell out of one of the USB ports rendering them unusable.

Overall I say you get a lot for the price and package. I had to send mine back for refund because the audio cable was about four inches too short to reach MB header and the wires for the USB cable did not seem correct at the MB connector, usually red is at one end and black at the other with the data wires in the middle but here the black and red were side by side. For the afore mentioned reasons is why I sent it back. If they lengthened the cables and used the correct color code USB cable I say this would be a decent unit.

I installed this on my computer immediately after receiving it. In my haste to install it, I bent the pins on my USB 3.x header. I abandoned all hope at the time. Forward a year and I had upgraded my motherboard, etc. I went to plug this unit in but I took my time. I carefully inserted this unit into the USB 3.x header and it wouldn't go. I kept looking to ensure that I had it oriented properly and it looked as though I had it right. It still would insert. After several tries, I looked more closely at the plug and found that the plastic had molded over the holes for the pins. The pins could NOT fit in the plug. Not just one or two but roughly half of the holes were plugged with plastic. Like maybe the mold was worn out? I know that molds do wear out and with prices this low, it's not unreasonable to think that this is what's wrong. Anyway, I may get bored and clean them out or I may toss it. Too late to return it by about a year so we'll see.

I purchased this to complete a PC for my granddaughter. I have purchased many, many, many, similar units in the past. I purchased this solely on size, minimum required features, and Prime shipping (and returns). It installed easily enough, but had I not needed it urgently I would have waited for a better unit at a much lower price. Just average, but pricey! Had there been a larger selection I would likely not purchased this particular product.I neither received nor asked for compensation of any type for reviewing this product. This is a recounting of my experience with this product, yours may differ. Read both positive and negative reviews of this and similar products prior to making your purchase decision. My rule of thumb is if 1 and 2 star reviews amount to more than 15% look elsewhere. If the total of 1, 2, and 3 star reviews equal 30-35% or more keep shopping!
