Iron Pipe Lamp Socket That fits 1/2 inch Iron Pipe (NPT)

Used these to build two black iron book-ends for a sideboard. They are good quality and the finish matches typical cast iron.

Did exactly what it should do

The fitting is very well made. There are no casting lines and the internal threads are well cut. You can see the internal area was machined with care to fit the plastic lamp socket. The only down side is the higher price but for a specialty item that you can't buy everywhere, it is what it is. Will be getting more for future projects.

I thought the socket was overpriced but if you need it you need it the problem is no competition. Should have come with 12 inches of wire instead of 6 in. Other than that it is a good product. I used it to make a pipe light fixture over the mirror in the bathroom.
