The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense : Gad Saad: desertcart.in: Fashion Review: Gen z should read it - This book explores how ideological "mind pathogens"belief systems that reject logic and reason—have taken hold of academia, media, and politics. Saad argues that these mind viruses, such as postmodernism, identity politics, and radical activism, undermine critical thinking and the pursuit of objective truth. Drawing on evolutionary psychology, he illustrates how these parasitic ideas spread and how they pose a threat to individual freedoms and open discourse. Saad's writing is both accessible and engaging, blending humor, personal anecdotes, and rigorous scientific analysis. He calls for a return to reason, evidence-based thinking, and the defense of free speech to counteract these harmful ideologies. Overall, The Parasitic Mind is a passionate and thought-provoking book that challenges readers to critically evaluate the cultural forces shaping their beliefs. Review: THE BOOK & IDEAS WORLD NEEDS MOST - Once I started reading the book, I was struck with the realisations that many of my inner thoughts & conflicts that I see in life & world have been explained and every page was an uplift of Realisation.

For believers in Science and Logic...
If you believe in logic and science and are perplexed but all what you see in the name of diversity and equality, this book will explain in details the exact cause! You are thinking right if you think that political correctness and mediocrity have combined to unleash a deadly anti science cocktail which is destroying our society. Dr Saad lays it down superbly with all the logic in details and will help you understand the root cause and the steps YOU can take to stop this madness. 10/10 for this book!

Bring out your inner Honey Badger!
This book does not belong to either side of the political spectrum, the author simply urges the reader to stand up and fight for objective truth. He has clearly delineated the perils of not fighting soon enough with ample historical and anecdotal evidence (often these are hilariously scary) and debunks unscientific ideologies and myths with a myriad of evidences. Personally, I read this book almost entirely in one sitting because the writing is so engaging and one will know this if he/she has listened to Dr.Saad speak online.(go search Joe Rogan and Gad Saad) A definite must read for people of left, right, middle and even for ostriches whose heads are buried.

Exceptional! Dr. Gad Saad at his best!
If you have little idea about how WOKE and other silly "progressive" ideas are strange-holding and killing common sense, then you should read this book! By applying the concepts from evolutionary psychology and many other associated domains, the "Dr. Good Looks" explains the root cause of such toxic ideas finding place in academia and intelligentsia. This is a fascinating read, the humour with which Dr. Saad explains all topics is 'sans pareil'! Every sensible person in the 21st century should read the book!!

The book is a big disappointment as it presents the views of an anti-science and anti-common sense person. It’s all sounds like the kind of stuff that one hears nowadays from Trumpian “conservatives”, alt-right or downright neo-fascists. It’s a waste of money and time to read silly propaganda like that.

The world is going mad and common sense is going right out of the window. We live in a world where we have to be careful what we say online or in our social environments, opinions are only accepted if they fit the narrative and people agree with them (god forbid you go against the grain and have an opinion of your own). We live in a world where political correctness has become something of a "Frankenstien's Monster" and Dr Saad does a very good job highlighting some of the absurd arguments that are ongoing in today's society that when read will make your head go numb (some really are THAT absurd) This was a great read from beginning to end and a great introduction (for me) to Dr Saad work.
