Lovely selection of magnets
We were able to do an extensive study on magnets using this set! The iron filings in the little case are a great, non messy way to show lines of flux

Good toy for kids but magnets are of varying strength
Magnets are always good fun, this is a good toy. Magnets are colour coded for north/south to help with experiments or play. One note is that the bar and horseshoe magnets are fairly weak - which is good for kids to play with. The ring magnets however are very strong - too easy to pinch skin if they snap together, so for younger kids I'd recommend taking those out of the kit.Magnetic filing pocket is fun but a little small. Makes sense given the low strength of the magnets, but it could be a little bit bigger to help illustrate the field lines.

Used by grandaughter to help school education
She found them very useful at school.

Doesn’t come with adequate instructions.
The product does have many components. Inadequact instructions with the set. The set had wheels & rods to contact the wheels to make a vehicle but in practice it didn’t work. Propellers were provided to propel the vehicle along but they weren’t effective of powerful enough to move the vehicle along. Very frustrating for my grandson & myself.

Poor quality magnets
Magnets are poor quality and don't behave as expected. But I think it's ok for kids to play. They don't have much force so will be safe to handle for very young. One is showing the correct N and S while the other might not. So they don't repel or stick as they should. You can see in the image how messed up the field is on the stick and disk.EDIT: Second thoughts.A defect is actually awesome for my purpose. So I change it to 5 stars. If you want defective magnets with unique magnetic patterns, then this is the way to go.

Low Quality
The pack has lots of components, but lacks a few things. There are no clips to connect the wires to the motors or LEDs. There are also no resistors for the LEDs, which for us, burnt out the 1st time one was used. The supplied wire is extremely thin and not really up to the task.

Just right
I work with small groups of primary school children and this set was just right to teach about the principles of magnetism. The magnets are super strong and the children particularly like the magnets on wheels!

Good set but breaks if dropped
Really good set of magnets that I bought for my 4 and 6 year olds to play with after showing interest in magnets. There are lots of different components which allows for wider play eg cars, rings and bars. Only thing to be mindful of is that they break very easily if dropped ie the blue and red magnetic poles split. We’ve glued them back together and they work again
