Exactly as Described and Expected
I just had a chance to use my extractor, and it worked perfectly. It did take a little to get started, but once it was going it was pretty clear that it was extracting honey. I am really pleased that I got an extractor that could do radial extraction as I really did not want to have to worry about flipping frames about, nor about blowing out wax comb. (I did have one odd frame where I did have to do tangential extraction and I did blow the comb out).Other have commented that the instructions were not sufficient, I did not find it so, it was easy and quick to assemble. and it was just as easy to break down for cleaning (though I let the bees get first crack at it).I did not find the ratcheting handle to be all that useful, nor did it feel substantial, the handle was also fixed, so it would not rotate in you hand as you cranked the extractor. If this was a criteria, then I would skip on this particular extractor. I would also strongly recommend that you anchor the extractor down as it can feel rather wobbly when you really start to crank it. You need to be sure to balance it as much as possible, so extract at least four frames at a time.

Nice extractor and a good value
A good value for the price. Mine came without the lid, but an email to the seller resulted in a new lid in just a few days. Very good service.I extracted honey from a few frames and it worked very good. I would mount it to a board to help with vibrations from an off balanced load.I used the clutch type handle and though it worked, it did not disengage enough and it makes a clicking sound. A 5 gallon bucket does fit under the spout. Only reason for 4 stars is the instructions. If I said they are poor, it would be a compliment. For assemble you really don't need them, but for operating and maybe some tips on using it, I would have appreciated them. When doing 8 frames I know where to put them, but not sure if I need to secure them and further. I guess I will have to search the internet.

Works ok
This extractor comes with hardware and zero assembly instructions. It also has many VERY sharp edges around where you are supposed to bolt the legs on, which could really hurt someone, and it makes it difficult to attach the legs well. Once assembled it looks nice. While extracting it can get pretty wobbly, even if the frames are pretty equal in weight. It serves my purpose as a small hobby beekeeper, but one may want to shop around before purchasing this item.

Keep looking, carelessly built..
Well, I can say it appeared to of been used. Very roughly handled. Lots of bumps and scratches all over the thing. Installed the legs. Everything is fastened tight but wobbles. Seems the hold are drilled to wide, had to use larger washers. Also, tested it with some water, the seal failed. What ever adheasive that was used didn’t make a tight hold and when tightened down it rolled off the metal. For the price I spent I’m not happy with the product at all... also, again, it seems to of been used before. For the price I spent I’d expect it to be new/unused and not handled like the garbage taken out of me house. I’ll write another review after it’s all doctored up and I used it for honey next year. Not impressed or happy with this product... will not refer anyone or buy again.

About what I expected
Works well for the money. It was fairly easy to disassemble to clean and put back together. I was unsatisfied in the small details, such as the drilled holes on the feet had burrs sticking out the bottom, a dirty rag was found inside when I opened the package (I wasn't expecting that), the crank handle didn't fit well on the crank shaft, etc. However, I can make due with polishing up the details, and for the money it is a lot better than building it yourself.

broke within 30 seconds during first use, poorly made product
I have not used the extractor yet but just put it together. The instructions are minimal. I ended up with lots of extra parts. I feel dumb but I have no idea what I missed. I have looked over the assembly instructions and not a clue.My lid was scratched up and looked like a repackage :-( but since I didn't open the box for over 30 days there is not much I can do. So if you buy open right away and check all parts.I will write a review of how it operates (without all the extra pieces) once we get some honey from the supers.Tried to use extractor today & it fell apart! So now i have uncapped frames sitting in a worthless piece of junk.

Great Product!
Excellent product for the price! The basket holds up to eight medium frames and does a great job of extracting the honey without warping the honeycomb. It has an all stainless drum and basket and it sits high enough to put a 5 gallon bucket under the spout for ease of use. Minor finish details could be improved, but it is a great deal!

Good but not perfect
Works great, but the spigot is so high it's very challenging to get a lot of the honey out.
