Arm & Hammer 84116 42.6 oz Trash And Dumpster Deodorizer Can

Got this to combat the smell of my toter bin. It works better than anything else I have tried. I have two dogs and garbage pickup every two weeks. I bag their waste in Earth-Rated lavender bags, but the toter can get pretty rank after sitting in the sun. A sprinkle once a week seems to help a lot. This is mostly just baking soda with some other scents but it absorbs at least 80% of the smell.

Our trash cans STINK!!! Summers in Las Vegas are brutally hot and it seems like it doesn't matter how many times I clean out the trash cans, they still stink so bad. I had been using some other baking soda after thorough cleanings and it didn't help at all. I was very skeptical that this was going to help, but after just one sprinkling of this, our trash can doesn't stink anymore. I have added some of this baking soda mix between dumpings and it seems to have done an amazing job at eliminating the nasty smell of our trash cans. This stuff is phenomenal and should last me quite a long time before I need to buy some more. I am so happy I decided to buy this. It will make my garage much more pleasant during the future summers in Las Vegas. No longer do I have to be embarrassed because of our smelly trash cans.

I like that this product comes in an economy pack for value. So far I have added it as instructed on the label to my dumpster bins and garbage cans under the sinks in the kitchen and bathroom. The scent is quite strong but becomes milder over the week. It does help eliminate odors indoors and outdoors.

Just moved into a studio a few months ago and with the colder months, windows stay shut and when we eat out the food waste tends to smell up the entire apartment.. Was looking for a great solution that didn't overwhelm the apartment but got rid of the odor and this stuff has a pleasant smell to it. Little goes a long way. works great!

My HOA requires us to keep our trashcans out of sight. For me the only space to put them is in my garage. I was having issues with the smell leaking out of the garbage bins until I got this. There’s not only a good scent radiating from the trashcans now but there’s complete bad odor elimination. This is definitely worth it. I’m going to start also using this in my interior trash cans. The only negative is that it can make you cough a bit if the powder gets in the air too much. But this may just be my sensitive lungs as I have asthma.

Have used this for about a year. Works fine, strong odor fighter. Lasts a long time (uh, about a year) assuming you aren't using it every day (we just use it when we really should take the trash out but are procrastinating). Packaging needs improvement, as the super fine powder gets everywhere...maybe more like containers of carpet fresh. Which is my last point. Came to product page to buy again, then thought hey, wouldn't it be WAY less expensive to buy a baking soda-based product marketed for freshening carpet or litter box? So I'm going that direction this time instead. Will update review if that logic fails me.

I normally hate the smell of really strong fragrant products but you need it for gross trashcans and this does the trick. There are lots in there to use so you one box would probably last a year assuming you don't have a lot of trashcans with really bad issues. It's easy to use, just open the lid and dump some powder in fast since you don't want to spend time with the stink. You would have to use it several time. The only bad thing is the box does leak the powder but it comes wrapped in plastic so if you are careful, it's not too messy.

I purchased this to treat my smelly trash can odor at home. It is just me, my husband, and our two cats at home and we take a while to full up our garbage can. I hated the idea of taking out bags that are only 25% full, but even with the glad force flex with fabreeze our trash would get an odor - a terrible odor. It was AWFUL, gag... I sprinkled this on the garbage and it did the trick. I am giving it 4 stars because I am not a huge fan of the scent of the deodorizer. Still, this scent is TONS better than what my garbage would smell like and it really does a good job of getting rid of the garbage smell, not just overpowering it with a floral scent.
