ASUS Vivobook OLED 15 M513UA 15.6 Inch Full HD OLED Laptop, Black (AMD Ryzen 7-5700U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 11)

This laptop is not only a beautiful thing to behold, being a sleek black number, it's incredibly fast and I do mean fast. My (ageing) Dell XPS is no longer supported by Dell and cannot run Windows 11 but, it's powered by an Intel i7 processor, has a chunky nVidia graphics card, 8Gb of RAM and 1TB of ROM (2 IDE drives) and is no slouch - it cannot hold a candle to the ASUS. The time between power button pressed "ON" to usable is measured in seconds not minutes. Then there's the HD screen that seems to be able to show more colours than even my HD TV, stunning. I bought the ASUS to run Windows 11 and a specific DAW (music creation and editing software) and, as anyone who's used a DAW knows, to do the latter requires buckets of processing speed and RAM and storage space, the ASUS doesn't even blink, it just takes it in its path without a hiccup. As for running Windows 11, apart from having to relearn where things are (a me problem not a machine problem), it didn't bat an eyelid, shrugged and got on with things. The AMD processor (I'm an AMD devotee, apart from the Dell XPS laptop, really a desktop replacement, all of my machines are AMD powered and employ either onboard AMD/ATI graphics or have an AMD graphics card) is not only super powerful but doesn't run particularly hot and the machine itself is near silent even under load. Oh, and it's super light too but, if you're thinking of taking the laptop out with you, take the power cable as well as all of that power comes at a heavy cost to battery life, which is about 30 minutes under moderate load. I use mine exclusively at home, never further than about 10 feet from a wall socket!This may be one of the best acquisitions I've made in quite some while, I'm hugely impressed and should I need replace a server or desktop machine, I'm pretty sure that ASUS will be near to or at the top of the list of makes I'll be looking at.

The laptop is fantastic just the job fast and powerful. Unfortunately it is let down by the fact that windows 11 has turned out to be not very good.

This laptop checks almost all boxes if you're in need of a high performance machine the only reason I haven't given five stars is the trackpad and the keybed are a little lackluster but can be remedied easily with wireless peripherals.I personally don't do a lot of typing so I just got a wireless mouse.I mainly use it for audio production and so far it handles extremely well.Most definitely would recommend this product.

Excellent laptop all round, screen is super clear and the speed is very fast takes seconds to start up, would highly recommend this laptop to anyone, also lightweight and looks very nice in black

Its so quick to boot. Im running multiple vms on it without issue. The screen is fantastic.

I like the product because the screen is big, the computer is lightweight and the colours are vivid.

Within one month of purchase, the laptop started making a faint static noise which was louder when put close to the ear. At that stage I ignored it. However, the noise became worse as of late with random clicking noises from time to time. I decided that it would be better to replace the item sooner rather than later as I was afraid the issue may worsen over time. I ended up getting a refund as there wasn't any left in stock for a replacement.Other than this main concern, there were other problems:1. terrible battery life from day 12. left shift button has a very weird click when pressed at certain angles making a clonky sound3. the mousepad is tempermentally unresponsive, inaccurate and unreliableWhen you spend big money, you can't ignore the little problems.
