Yes, just started using this about 2 months ago and it works. Easy to replace the filter cartridges and you get a little circular replacement screen with each cartridge. You can tell when filter needs changing it's harder to blow into and as you use it you can feel it getting heavier as it gets used. The trick is to push the rubber seal against your mouth firm enough so no smoke comes out the sides of your mouth. It's easy to get used to. Also take the plastic circular top off to air out overnight once or twice a week because moisture collects from your breath underneath the top. Probably would get mold eventually. It can be washed with dish soapy water too, but remove the circular screen first. There is a diagram on back of packaging. I save that as a follow guide to reassemble after changing. For cigarettes I change about every week and a half to 2 weeks. If you vape it's probably not as often. This product helps reduce the smoke to 1/2 of what you would emit from smoking a cigarette in any room. The only smoke left is right from the cigarette itself and a smokeless ashtray will get rid of that as you hold it near, it sucks it in. This works and is easy to change filters, I am pleased!

Let me start by saying that I love this little guy and it works to perfection! It's sleek, subtle, and doesn't emit any odor whatsoever. While the replacement filters are a tad on the pricey side, I have no problem paying for something if it is a quality product, which this definitely is! My only real gripe with it would be the "500 smoke breaths" that the packaging/advertisers claim... I decided to use a clicker to keep track of how many times I was able to use it before it got impossible to blow through, and it ended up being just under half of the bold claim at 236 exhales. Now I'm sure there are lots of variables involved that can affect the performance, like what kind of substance you are breathing through it. For the record, the kind I had was thicker than cigarette smoke, but more thin than green clouds, so you be the judge. As you can see by photos, the used filter weighs almost a whole ounce more than the new one, which is pretty impressive! So even though the 500 claim is quite farfetched, I am still extremely satisfied and will continue to use my little buddy, because at the end of the day, it works darn good. That's all that matters!

I used to be loyal to the one everyone knows, the buddy. As time went on I realized I was unhappy with that product for 3 main reasons: 1. The plastic waste - every time it was spent you are throwing away the plastic that incases the filter, the plastic packaging, amd eventually the Keychain made of plastic that came with every single one (nobody needs that many). 2. The price was getting outrageous. For a big one it was costing around $30. That brings me to my final point. 3. For the cost they didn't last very long. MAYBE and that's a generous maybe, you get a month tops with daily use. So I started looking for other options that would be more cost effective and more waste friendly. For a few days I looked up every personal air filter on the market. Smoke Trap+ was the one I decided to try and I haven't used anything else since. I only had to buy 1 plastic piece in the year it's been since I switched to Smoke Trap. The plastic piece is just a holder for the replaceable filter. The replacements come in packs of 3. The 3 pack costs just as much as one single big buddy and I get about 2 months out of each filter with daily use. I live in a ground level apartment with other apartments above mine. When I was using the buddy filter I was getting complains regularly about the herbal smell. Since I've switched to Smoke Trap+ I have gotten a single complaint. I can't recommend this enough! It's a superior product that is mindful about its impact on the environment.

The ONLY reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because mysteriously, I ended up with one sort of dud filter. Where it periodically would allow some smoke to escape. But otherwise, I absolutely want to shout this product, from a rooftop! It’s allowed me to stay comfortably indoors and not have to deal with everything that inflames my allergies, or especially not have to deal with uncomfortable temperatures. Very easy to use and reuse. It seems to last a considerable amount of time and is bigger than some competitors. No smell, no smoke. Buy one now!

It lasts a long time. I haven't had issues with it clogging up and I am a regular smoker. I have been using it for about a month
