Works.
I'm not sure if Delco manufactures anything anymore since the financial troubles GM endured. I think they outsource most everything and I'm going to have to guess they outsource absolutely everything. But, they do seem to pick some reliable 3rd party suppliers for the most part. I purchased an AC Delco oxygen sensor a while back but it was obviously a Denso that was rebadged. It failed after a little over a year so I chose Bosch as its replacement. Because of that, I might avoid AC Delco oxygen sensors for a while. However, I had to simply trust AC Delco on this MAP sensor because there aren't many telltale aspects about this particular device that will let me discover the maker through its visual appearance alone. In other words, I can't tell who makes it. It seems to work fine. It's been in service for several months. I know that, to save money, I had originally tried a direct-from-China comparable substitute but that MAP unit, when installed, prompted additional trouble codes that seemed totally unrelated to the former codes that originally signaled a failure. I had to suspect the direct-from-China product veered from specs excessively. So, I went straight to the AC Delco part. Installed it. Trouble codes gone. That's all I know for now.

MAP Sensor for my 2001 Silverado
This is a MAP Sensor which means Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. The sensors on these cars all send information to the engine computer, and the computer uses multiple inputs from various sensors to control and optimize the engine. I have a Silverado with 210,000 miles on it, and I'm replacing sensors and ceratin parts with Amazon parts because they are the best price, and I love the feature called "My Garage" where they keep a profile of each of your cars, and confirm whether a part is the right on for your car. Anyway, I was about done replacing sensors, and decided to replace this one too. It made a noticeable difference in how the car ran and how the transmission shifted. It made a huge improvement in performance and mileage. It is easy to replace for do-it-yourself mechanics who like to save big money. My old one was dirty and seemed plugged when I removed it. It clips into the top of the intake manifold, and has one wire connector. Amazon has the best price, and shipping was fast and well packaged.

Direct Drop-In Replacement for GM 3800 Series II
Got this to trouble-shoot an old firebird running the good old Gm 3800 Series II. It was a direct drop-in replacement. Removed the old sensor for the clip and the harness, and popped this guy in. Worked perfectly. No muss, no fuss. The sensor came in a AC Delco retail box. It's a little bit more pricey than the other brands, which probably would've worked just fine too, but I've always had good luck with AC Delco.

Works awesome!
This part plus updating the PCM resulted in a much smoother and more powerful accel than the cheaper aftermarket MAP sensor. It's amazing how much a difference there is. Worth the price!

Installed easily, but didn't solve the rough Idle
Installed easily, but didn't solve the rough Idle . The Sensor arrived quickly as most Amazon orders do.

Perfect fit and solved numerous problems.
I replaced my original one with a $42 sensor from my local auto store, one of the National chain stores when I could’ve bought the same off brand on-line for $10. Nothing but problems and it barely fit. Check engine lights, missing, etc. Gave in and bought this OEM and problem solved. Nice to be back to Acdelco quality.
