Honest Review
I think this is the first review I have ever done lol So I bought this laptop after my Levono Yoga C90 finally went out. Going from a state of the art Laptop at the time (2018) and with an overall price tag of $1400.00, I could not see myself going back to anything else. (It had a dolby atmos soundbar built in lol) It had everything and more than I needed. And when I decided to buy something I could take on the go and do my day to day. I came about this laptop on Amazon. I needed something that would able to do what I mostly do on my laptop. Word processing and watching YouTube and the other streaming services I cant live without lol and check into other social media if I felt like it. I spent two days doing research, and looking at YouTube videos and reviews of this laptop. When I finally got it home, I was surprised how thin and light it was. I am a musician and I was surprised how clear and how loud the sound would get. Screen was very clear and bright. The one thing I had to get used to, is the operating system. I have used Windows for 30 plus years. I was surprised how easy it was to learn Chrome OS. There are MANY features I miss from Windows. But for what I need it to do its holding up . Overall for this price I am happy. NOTE: I have seen some reviewers say there is not a back lit keyboard. THERE IS ONE. I would NOT of bought this laptop if there was not one. Thats the first thing I look for. This laptop is like an electric hybrid, light simple to use and will get the job done. IF you are looking for a juiced up race car with all the bells and whistles, then this is not the right laptop for you. But if you wannt something affordable and does all the above, then this might be for you

Dead on arrival
MY NEW ACER 513 Spin Chromebook arrived in what looked like the factory box with all packaging and seals in place. But when I opened the package, plugged it in, and tried to set it up nothing worked. It showed the Chrome label then went immediately to the “connect to wifi” screen but it didn’t detect any networks. Other devices are all connecting fine so the problem was with the new chromebook. I called Acer and they ran me through a number of steps designed to power wash the unit or reset the battery but nothing worked. They offered to fix it but they would have it for more than a week for shipping, repair, and return shipping. I thought I could return it to Amazon for a replacement but it apparently comes from another reseller so I must return it for a refund and then buy a replacement. Cumbersome but better than nothing. At least Amazon is trustworthy with their returns. Not sure if I should try again but the device looks and feels solid. Maybe it was just a one-of-a-kind failure. Hopefully!

Almost perfect Chromebook
If you've seen one ChromeOS you've seen them all, but there are a few ways that the hardware setup on this Chromebook is inferior to the much older Asus Chromebook that I'm replacing, which I loved for years and considered to be a perfect machine.- There is no SD card reader. Though it does have USB-A so you could use even an old SD adapter.- The maximum volume is not particularly loud. If you want to listen to this while doing an activity that's at all noisy (cooking, car repair) you may find yourself needing bluetooth headphones.- The speakers are on the bottom, which means if you set it on a muffling surface (your lap, a bed) it'll make the above problem even worse.- The screen dimness cannot be reduced very far. When used at night in the dark, the dimmest setting is still pretty bright (Night Light is little help, as it changes color temperature, not dimness).Without these minor disappointments it would be a slam dunk of a computer.

"This Chromebook is The BEST!!!"
I Absolutely LOVE this Chromebook!!! It completely met all of my expectations on a Chromebook....I had a very old 11 year old Acer Chromebook C720 which I bought in Bestbuy in 2013 and it already reached it's End of Lifedate (Why Google is doing this!?....I just don't know!) So I was on the lookout for another proper Chromebook replacement then I went to a lot of online reviews and youtube videos and I finally found this. I had a greatexperience using Chromebooks because the Operating System of this laptop is Linux based hence why is very easy to use but I do admit it's limited but it fits my personal needs which are online bill paying internet browsing andwatching videos and let's face it that not everyone is designing stuff online nor coding top secret /Classified codes so Chromebooks are perfect for basic stuff. I haven't tried the hinges on this thing or flipping it to tabletmode but I'll soon be and I'll get back at you for this.I Highly recommend this Chromebook if you wanted it for basic stuff like the things I've mentioned awhile ago and just have fun and for entertainment purposes!
