Rid-X Platinum Septic System Treatment, 3 Month Supply of Liquid, 24 Fl Oz

From what I understand, it is crucial to use a product like this to keep your septic system in good-working shape, that is, if you have septic tanks on your home property VS city sewage systems. Every time we've had ours pumped out the expert pumpers tell us that our system is working well & is in good shape.

Easy to use with less of a mess to treat your septic tank regularly.

Seems to work. Didn't have a clog but seemed water backed up in the laundry sink drain whrn having a lot of rain. But this item arrived packed with cat food in same box. The bottle had packaging tape across the top but packed with the cat food that I ordered. This was very wrong and careless of Amazon. Cost Amazon all my future pet orders. I have taken my pet orders elsewhere.

When we purchased our home and had to deal with a septic tank for the first time, a plumber friend recommended Rid-X. His advice was to put as much in as you can reasonably afford, because it'll reduce how often an honest septic service will need to pump your tanks.The recommended dose for one bottle is 1/3 every month. We've ended up using a bottle a month because we can afford it and keeping an open bottle around isn't ideal for us. It smells fine but not great.The bottles usually come from Amazon taped shut on the cap to prevent spills, and for good reason. Before they started that we occasionally got bottles that would open and ruin everything else in the shipment.Before you use Rid-X you should try and map out how all of your different toilets, showers, sinks, and laundry lines all come together. You want to dose the Rid-X in such a way that you are getting as many of the major "branches" of pipes as possible. For example, your master bathroom shower, sinks, and toilets probably all meet together very quickly while your laundry room and kitchen may have dozens of feet of pipes between them and where they meet the master bathroom. Because of this, you don't want to dump all of the Rid-X just in the master. Put some in one of the receptacles there, and try and spread the rest out so its getting into as much of your piping as possible.

Have used this for decades. Great product. No septic issues. Of course eventually you will have to pump out your tank, but I'm talking years.
