I wanted something a little funky as a bread basket. This is it. Very pretty and different looking. I especially like the grain in the wood. It holds a whole loaf of french bread cut up. I've gotten many compliments on this. Since it's wood, I just wipe with a wet paper towel, very similar to my mother's wood salad bowl when I was growing up. I read some reviews about a odd smell to it, I did not experience that at all.

Not finished. Lots of scours and scrapes from poor craftsmanship. Not smooth like the photos. Measures at the very low end of the size “range”. The widest parts fall in line with the smaller numbers in the range. I actually asked “WTF?” to myself as I opened the package, and had to double check the price I paid. The materials used and the craftsmanship is not what I would have expected for this price range. I am disappointed, for sure. If you purchase this, you should expect to have to finish the work the manufacturer started… you’ll need to sand and oil it yourself.

It arrived with a chip - part of the wood fell apart. Perhaps better packaging would’ve allowed it to travel better?

Not like the picture. Cheap in color and stain/varnish not really there, but the smell is.

Very nice. Just what I was looking for. Perfect size. It has been sealed with a clear coat that may help to protect it. Would buy again.
