Nice build quality, but had bad mic recording range and on PC L/R audio is swapped.
Mainly used on my Bose QC15 for gaming. A splitter is needed to separate Mic and Audio channels for PC use.I had to return this since it does not work well for my main application, PC gaming.Pros:Product build quality is very good. Nice plastics and rubber cord is similar to Bose OEM; just slightly more rigid than oem. The attenuator switch works and switches nicely. The volume and center control buttons tactile feel is okay.Cons:Left and Right audio channels are swapped.MIC sounds very muted (like no midrange or treble) to the listener. I tested on PC (for gaming) as well as iPhone 6.The PC's motherboard mic input channel had Gain and Volume adjustments but no variation could remedy the muted sound. The listener had lots of difficulty making out what I was saying. The muted sound is apparent on the iPhone6 as well. The iPhone6's mic has a way better recording frequency range than this products mic given the same mic placement on my shoulder to do a A/B comparison.

Boo - not as good a deal as you might think!
I thought this was a great deal...for about a week. Now, the replacement cord routinely causes my cell phone to drop calls if you touch it or move around while using it. I thought it was my phone, but then while using the phone, it would drop a call and turn on the music without any assistance from me. Today was the last straw...it dropped my call, turned on the music, and stopped routing the sound to my headset altogether and caused the speaker to begin functioning. I'm returning it and would recommend caution if you plan to use your Bose headset with an iPhone.

hope you like waving your device around like a fool.
just got these, and while they actually work unlike the last pair i purchased which didn't work *at all* the sound on these drops in and out at the slightest movement when using them. i bought these to use with my iPhone and as soon as i put a song on and turned my head the sound became muffled and the volume dropped drastically. you also cannot touch the volume control/mouthpiece at all without the same sound problem happening, if you so much as breathe on it funny it'll crackle and drop audio. i would say these don't work either since you have to struggle with them constantly. to their credit, they do sound very good if you sit perfectly still with your head tilted juuuust right, with your device laying untouched on a table, like a cursed mannequin who has zero body function beyond being able to hear stuff.so now i'm walking and waving my phone around like i'm swatting away bees in an effort to jostle the cable into cooperation. is it too much to ask to listen to music without disruption?very disappointing, but you get what you pay for.*EDIT - now the sound has crapped out entirely. this after an hour of use. i made the mistake of trying to use the volume controls and that was just a bridge too far for this cable.

Excellent value
Lifesaver! The original cable for my Bose QC15 got damaged thanks to some rough handling by my son. A replacement was not available from the manufacturer's website. This third-party product is a great price and has given new life to these expensive headphones.

Waste of money and time
While these do technically work, the audio channels are reversed (left is coming from the right, and vice-versa), and when plugged into an 1/4" adapter there is an audible buzzing sound unless the the play/pause button on the headphone controls is depressed.I've jury-rigged my PC audio and swapped a few connections to work around the audio channels and wrap a twist-tie tightly around the play/pause button for clear sound to tide myself over until I can get a proper cord, but of course none of that should be necessary. Waste of money and time.

Will Have to Replace Frequently
These blasted things keep failing me rather quickly. With very little wear or tear, I had one cord failing to connect unless you hold it at a certain angle. The click/microphone feature also failed fast.As someone who keeps the cord in good condition (i.e not jamming into the bottom of bags or accidentally ripping out of the headphones or computer) I was surprised at how quickly the cord began failing.

Try another one, pass on this one.
The unit fits and works for music. Don't plan on using it for phone calls as the people on the other end will not be able to hear you. I have to hold the mic to my mouth, which certainly negates the reason you purchased it.
