Does the job
I bought these as scuff pads for re-coating Rubio hard wax oil. They are definitively abrasive enough to skim off and smooth out preparing for re-coat, but not too harsh. Do not use these to remove dirt only, as some finish comes off. They are thinner at around 1/4”. I use a thicker ~1” non abrasive white pad as a base, and the maroon on bottom with my Oreck 13” buffer.Price was reasonable for a box of 10.

Good pad, wrong amount TWICE!
I have been really looking forward to getting and using these pads after getting a free sample from 3M... so the pads themselves are very good if you want to do chemical free stripping.The reason for my 3 star review is that now TWICE, I have ordered these pads and the product headline clearly says CASE OF 10, and I have received only 5 in the box. The first time it happened, I figured no big deal human error or whatever. I returned the 5 pads at my local Khohl's and got my credit. I then re-ordered, again expecting to get 10 in the box, but only 5 came.So again I have to return this... and I guess I'll have to order through a different supplier until this gets sorted out. :-(
