This is a fantastic product with a reasonable price tag. My home office needs to be low light for the type of work I do on the computer, and I realized I was getting eye strain from the lack of backlight behind my monitors. I ordered these lights in order to get some relief, and I am very pleased with the quality and performance. Just for clarification, the lights come attached to one another (one power cord connects to both lights). These can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and can be attached to the back of a TV or monitor easily by the included adhesive bracket. There are numerous color options and brightness levels. It can be set for a daylight type of setting or can have a more warm color. The product includes an attached controller which is simple to use, with only three buttons. To power the lights on or off, just press the top button. This has drastically improved my eye strain, and as a bonus, I can now set my office ambiance to whatever mood I’m in!

I chose this product beacuse I have know the brand for a while and I know that their devices are made with a good quality. I used these lights as a night light on my bedroom since an old led strip had just finished its useful life. This was a considerable upgrade over that led strip. The device came in a neat box by Govee, it was well organized and devided into separate sections the lights, the two cables and two mounts. There were two cables, one that conects the light to the control and another that conects the power to the control. There were provided two mounts, one for placing upright on some type of flat surface and another one with two sided 3m branded tape which can be used to mount the lights to vertical surfaces. The setup was quite easy as I had already the Govee app and I just had to search for the devices wifi and connect to it and open the app and insert some info about the local wifi. Thats the set up. Probably finished the set up in less than three minutes. The lights are really cutomizable, as with both combined you can show up to 12 different colors using both lights (six colors per light). The app has some useful features as changing the different colors and sections that will light up. You can costumize a timer, brightness and how the light will change with a beat of the music. Integrating the lights to Alexa or google is relatively simple. With both assistants, they can change the brightness, color, music color changing modes and you can even pair the Alexa so that it will gradually turn on the lights brightness before the alarm goes of in the morning. Overall, great light and under the normal lighting (bright white, warm white and mixed) they are really bright. However, bear in mind that with the colors the brightness will vary.

These things are fantastic as ambient lighting when I don't want to turn my lights on. Pop one behind your entertainment center and its easy to control the mood remotely. They feel solid so I'm sure they will last a while in my setup! I have a few ideas as to where to put my next couple of lights such as my computer desk, closet, etc. and just control them through Alexa. I think that will make everything look super clean. They are pretty small so they can fit in a lot of places and create dramatic effects. Govee is the best vee.

The remote control software is pretty good and easy to use, but this product alone really isn't enough to change the vibes of the room since it's not quite bright/long enough. If you're planning on buying more of these products (light bars/strips) to change the whole vibe of the room, these bars in particular is pretty decent value and have great lighting/color options. Just know that for the lights to be noticeable you'll need the room to be almost completely dark, and it'll only half illuminate the portion of the wall you point it at.

They are vibrant, easy to set up, and work seamlessly with Alexa and Google Home.

The setup was very straightforward. I simply connected the light to my Wi-Fi, opened the app, entered the network information, and within minutes everything was ready to use. Through the app, you can not only customize the timer, brightness, and how the light transitions between colors, but also easily turn the lights on and off without touching them. This makes daily use very convenient. The app also includes white light options in addition to colors, so it works well both as ambient lighting and as functional everyday light. It integrates with Alexa and Google, which is a nice plus. On Mac, however, it’s not possible to sync videos with the Govee lights through software, which is worth noting. I’ve mainly been using it as ambient lighting, and it performs very well in that role. The brightness varies depending on the color selected, which is normal for this type of light. For video, I tested it using the dynamic “Aurora” scene, and it created a clean and pleasant background effect. Overall, it’s a solid and practical option if you’re looking for customizable ambient lighting for your home or workspace.

I’ve had the Govee Smart LED Light Bars for about a year now, and overall, I’m really happy with them. I use them mainly to add accent lighting behind my TV and along a few shelves in my living room, and they’ve completely changed the vibe of the space. These light bars are sleek and modern-looking, and the way they fill the room with color really elevates the whole setup. Installation was simple. The mounting hardware and adhesive strips worked well, and the light bars fit perfectly in the spots I wanted. I appreciate how easy it is to customize the layout by adding or removing bars as needed. The connection to the app was quick and stable, and I’ve rarely had any issues with responsiveness. The RGBIC technology means each segment can show different colors, which makes for really cool lighting effects. Whether I’m using the preset scenes or creating my own with the DIY mode, the color transitions are smooth and visually appealing. The music sync mode is a fun bonus too—it reacts well to different genres, making movie nights and parties more immersive. The app itself is intuitive and offers plenty of control, including scheduling, brightness adjustments, and voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant. I like being able to control all my Govee lights from one place, and these light bars integrate seamlessly with my other Govee products. The only thing I wish was a bit better is the brightness. While the light bars produce beautiful, vivid colors, I sometimes find myself wanting just a touch more light output, especially in brighter rooms or during the day. That said, for most evening and ambient lighting purposes, the brightness is more than sufficient. After a year of use, the build quality still feels solid, and the lights have performed consistently without any flickering or fading. I’d definitely recommend the Govee Smart LED Light Bars if you want a stylish, customizable lighting option that adds personality to any room. Just be aware that if you need super bright lighting, you might want to supplement them with other sources. Overall, a great purchase that I’m glad I made.

Decent Lights. I got them for my office as a way to signal when I'm in a meeting. Nice thing is they work straight up with bluetooth, no WiFi required to control them, unlike some other manufactures. The app functionality is ok, but not great, it serves my needs. What's keeping these from being 4.0 or higher? No Homkit support. Depending on how you want to use these, they are not bad and will probably work well if you just want some fun colorful LED lights. IF you want to integrate them into your home and use HomeKit, I'd look at other options.
