Developmental Psychology: Childhood and Adolescence

This is NOT your boring text book. It is interesting and I learned a lot. I bought this book for supplemental reading and I learned more from this book and the study guide than I learned from the text book for the class. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is studying child psychology.

REALLY glad I can rent this for 15 dollars (I don't need the access code) instead of going to my campus bookstore to buy this for $100+. Seriously god bless Amazon Rentals. Book is very clear and easy to read.

I had to have this book for school. It's not one of my favorite textbooks, but it's an okay read. The type is a little small in my opinion and sometimes it gets a little "wordy", but otherwise informative.

...vs the electronic version. Using the book is better for me. I kinda got tired of reading a screen all the time.

Ordered this book to accompany teaching of a Child and Adolescent development class. This edition certainly takes new research into account while integrating into foundation and scaffolding built by previous editions. Colorful pictures and appropriate highlights and tables make this textbook an easy companion for teaching that (although quite pricey) students appear able to connect with.

I ordered it on Friday night and got here Sunday morning (of a 3 day holiday weekend!). It was in perfect condition, as promised. I do wish, however, that a paper receipt would have been included in the package.

I snagged a used copy for $30, but was disappointed to see that this edition is from a full decade ago. There’s been advancements in pediatric psychology that I do not see in this book. There certainly can be a better written, updated version in 2023. The fact that this textbook is $120+ for a new copy of decade old information is a complete scam.

I love this book. It is very easy to read and follow along with material. There are definitions to the side and great information!
