Schar Deli-Style Bread Gluten Free -- 8.5 oz(Case of 6)

This bread makes the best toast! I usually buy it Meijer in Michigan but they took it off the shelf for the second time in 5 years, plus they have moved gluten free bread about 5 times in the last 5 years. I give up, and I will be ordering in online from now on. It's really the only gluten free bread I found that tastes as good as regular.

If you are gluten free you need to try this bread! Delicious and does not have the “off” texture. If you know, you know. Toasts up like regular sour dough… little butter and salt…eye rolling yumminess

This bread let’s you make a full size deli sandwich on fresh un-toasted bread that tastes great! And that’s saying something for GLUTEN FREE bread! It is pricey compared to Schars regular size bread, but we’ll worth it for the occasional larger sandwich. It also has a fabulous shelf life. I have only found this bread in restaurants and was very happy to be able to purchase it for my home. Only one oddball thing was the odd number of slices per pack as opposed to an even number - still an amazing delicious product!

After 30+ yrs of a mandatory GF diet, this is the best ready made bread I've found and I have tried them all over the years. The texture and taste makes a great sandwich, it toasts well, makes a fantastic grilled cheese and doesn't fall apart when you pick it up. In addition, the bread isn't made with eggs or bean flours which is a common digestive irritant/allergen among celiac patients. After years of trying to bake GF breads at home with results that usually ended up being bricks, being able to log on to Amazon and order a case of something really good and delivered to my home in a remote area was a welcome change and worth every penny.

Product is great however the seller did a lousy job by sending only one package when six were ordered and paid for.

I have milk,egg and wheat allergies. My allergies are not severe but give me asthma and sinus issues. This bread being vegan, nut free and gluten free meets my requirements and no allergy issues. My kids and I share the same allergies so they eat it too. We actually buy most of Schar's products. Ok, to the review. We have been using the other bread like 4"x4" slices for over a year and we really like it but it is small. This Deli size is perfect fit for lunch meat and deli size cheese, it is soft but strong and tastes great. I toasted it and ate Tuna salad just yesterday and it was great. My family are spreading the word around our hometown so hopefully one day we can drive through for lunch when we are in a hurry.:) I would recommend this and other Schar products to everyone and for me and my family we can eat sandwiches again! Oh, one other point is this bread only has to be in the fridge after you open the package. It won't ruin in a couple days like the other breads that use egg for a binding agent. We have bought several cases of this bread and not one loaf has molded on us.

Best gluten free bread i have found

First let me say that this is actually a case of 5 and not 6 so you are paying more per loaf than you think. I can buy it cheaper in my local grocery store. I first bought this deli bread a year or two ago and absolutely loved it. It tasted like more of a whole grain bread. Unfortunately they have changed the ingredients (I assume), as it is more of a white bread now, and I think it is just ok. It is definitely better than most gluten free breads but not nearly as wonderful as it used to be. I only bought on Amazon because the packaging displayed in the on line photo on Amazon was of the old bread and I thought that is what would ship but sadly it was the "new" bread.
