E-outstanding 2 Pcs Recessed Door Window Magnetic Switch Wired Home Security Alarm Contact Sensor, White

I had some work done on my basement door and somehow my alarm cable got cut. I bought these to see if they would work with my alarm and they did. I cut off the old ends and wired one of these back into the door and wiring. It worked perfectly. Now I don't have to bypass that section on my alarm every night.

This was a replacement part for ADT alarm system already installed in my house. Easy to install. Just a firm tap with rubber mallet. No tools needed, you could use your hand. I did not need to reprogram my system.

Ordered these to replace a bad magnetic switch on an exterior door for a home alarm. Works great. I tested the distance that the magnet had to be from the switch before triggering it and it was actually quite farther than I expected. The switch would close when the magnet was more than a half an inch away. On a door switch, typically the sensor and magnet are only millimeters away when the door closes, but I wanted to see how sensitive the switch was. It worked great in my situation to fix the door sensor for very little cost.

Works just like the ADT I replaced that ADT wants $200 to do it.

This product would be more simple to install if they manufacturer include the drill bit size that is optimum for drilling the hole for installation. Other than that, quite simple except for connecting the wires to the alarm system wires. Every one of these switches will need to be connected to alarm wires so why not include connectors in the package?

Handyman damaged my original when replacing door & frame. I was able to mend with this replacement and alarm works fine with it.
