This arrived a few weeks ago and the hummingbirds have been non-stop using it ever since. I've had several hummingbird feeders over the years, but this one by far is the best yet. It is lovely to look at (I have the red glass one), and it is well made of glass and metal (with the exception of the ant moat which is plastic). It holds 2 cups of sugar water and because it has no plastic and the metal has a sturdy finish on it, it will hold up to the elements. Previous ones I've owned had plastic components that either got moldy or fell apart. It has been easy to clean with the glass cylinder being wide enough to fit a brush inside to give it a good scrub. The ant moat was an added bonus. It is deep so that it not only holds the water longer, but other birds use it to drink from! Overall, I'm very pleased with this bird feeder and highly recommend it for purchase.

I purchased one to support the growing population of hummingbirds in the last couple of years. The birds seem to prefer it over an older model for whatever reason - we think it is the bright red, but experts say not so. We don't know what the total bird population is - at various times of the day there are occasionally 4, 5 and 6 birds vying for positions at a single feeder. That contest used to be only between 2 or 3 birds.The wife likes it since it is much easier to clean and refill; plus we no longer add food coloring. So I purchased a 2nd one. We now have three wide-mouth, 2-cup feeders and have to refill each at least once a day. Funny, we don't seem to feel any concern whatsoever about the silly CA warning found on the base.

I got the red and the dark blue hummingbird feeders, and I love both of them dearly! They are very easy to clean and the inclusion of the ant moat portion at the top is excellent. I fill that with a little bit of oil to really stop those buggers. The only thing I wish it included was a matching baffle (or had an option to get a matching one,) but so far I've kept it out of direct rain and haven't had any issues with the ant moat overflowing, etc. I also haven't had any issues with rust, but because I saw it in a review I do keep an eye out for it just in case. The hummingbirds LOVE it! I had feeders at both of mine almost immediately and then an all out hummingbird war almost broke out in my garden over them lol, but I watch them feed throughout the day and they seem to really love it. I also really like that this includes a bar for the hummingbirds to rest on. I don't see mine doing that all of the time, but they do rest when drinking enough for it to be noticeable and that makes it a very nice addition for them that a lot of other feeders don't seem to have. My experience with the feeder has continued to be a positive one and I hope to order more in the future!

The plastic hummingbird feeders I have used leak and require the birds to hover to drink. This lovely feeder is made of glass and metal. The only plastic is the ant guard ally the top that is filled with water. My chickadees drink water from that. This feeder has a ring where the birds can sit to drink. The birds will sit for quite a while so I get to watch them for longer.

I had a similar one that I really like but was rather small. So I was happy to find one with the same style and function , the moat. This moat works really well, not just for ants but other unwanted wasps or yellow jackets. It is a pleasure to see the hummingbirds coming and drink their nectar. I definitely recommend this feeder.

Very nice feeder. Sturdy, looks nice, and easy to clean. The ring perch around the base is a nice feature some other feeders don't have; I'd never thought about hummingbirds using a perch but they definitely do. I had a few regular visitors within a day of hanging mine up.

This has really attracted the hummingbirds to our backyard. There has not been any ants in or on the feeder at all which is amazing. Accessing and cleaning the feeder is super easy to accomplish. It brings us so much enjoyment and entertainment to watch these dynamic little creatures. I think I am going to purchase another one and see if I can get the hummingbirds to come to our front yard also.

I understood that the underside of the reservoir was plastic--as many hummingbird feeder are--however, the moat is plastic as well and the description doesn't make this clear.

Beautiful feeder and great colours, my Hummingbirds loved it for one week. Unfortunately the inside of the SS container rusts so badly that the water changes the colour to rusted yellow and the feeder was just a dangerous decoration.Expensive but done with bad materials!!!!
