JBL OnTour Micro 3.5mm Aux Portable Speaker (White)

has good sound, the bad is it has a very short cable and should be very close to computer or iPad

Not as loud as my other JBL speakers a bit smaller which is nice but still a bit disappointed with the sound

Bought two of these recently (1/14) in order to use when traveling on business trips overseas. Perfect for use with my iPod in a hotel room while doing other stuff, a little touch of home. Battery lifetime, est. 5 hours (?) before a recharge is not an issue, they seem to last longer than that. Comes with all the cabling needed and fabric pouches which come in handy for storage.Since I use these primarily while traveling, I pack them in spare shoes in my carry on bag, good place to keep and protect them from damage. As with all JBL products I've ever owned, I'm pleased with the performance.I was able to improve the sound quality (more bass) by changing the Equalizer setting to "Small Speakers" in iTunes. This setting increased the bass / low audio range noticeably. I also increased the pre-amp output, increasing the volume head room. Even though sound was good before, these two adjustments improved the listening experience for me.I read several reviews on these and other MP3 speakers, but kept coming back to JBL based on past positive experiences, Blue Tooth capability was not important for me.Lastly; the sound, out of both speakers is "Mono". Would like to know if anyone has found a cabling scheme that will provide "Stereo" running two MP3 speakers from an iPod?

It's a great little speak but would be a lot better if it hadn't crapped out after a week of use!

Great product had bought another speaker system via amazon and it crapped out with in a month. I bought this as a replacement it has great sound and holds charge for a long time.

Very satisfied with the sound quality and volume on this tiny speaker. About 3 inches in diameter, this smart looking compact speaker fits easily in my briefcase and allows me to play music/videos from all my electronic devices wherever I am. I use it for teaching - playing music in my classroom using my mp3 player. It comes with a charger, a tiny bag to hold the speaker and a smartly designed speaker wire. It is not wireless --- which is what I wanted.

I received the JBL OnTour Micro yesterday so have only used it once so far. Very impressed, If I walked in the room and did not see it playing I would think it was a much larger ipod dock. Can't go wrong with this if looking for a small portable speaker or even one to use with your laptop.
