I use it for everyday in my shower. I did flip the slotted part so the soap sits up higher in the dish and is easier to grab the soap bar. The regular soap dishes are to long and wide to sit on my shower shelf. This works good for me.

Great for travel
I use these every time I travel, and they have never leaked. I store bars of soap in them, and they have held up well for me for the past 2 years. When I am in for a longer stay, I will pull out the tray and set the soap in that, so it doesn’t hit the hotel shower floor. I would strongly recommend these to anyone wanting to buy, especially for this price.
