Good printer for the money

Overall, I'm very pleased with this little printer, which I purchased to take on our upcoming vacation for visual journaling. As others have experienced, my first print jammed, then the color film was ripped and the first cartridge that came in the print was a waste. See last image of the mayhem that resulted. That was a helpful experience, however, because it helped me understand how the printer works. Because there was a fragment of film stuck in the rollers, I had a tough time getting the second cartridge installed, but with a lot of care, got it to work.My first print was a batch of purple flowers. The resulting image was very disappointing. The original image is the third one attached, and the print is the fourth image. I tried another image that also had a kind of rose/lavender background on a graphic, which was also a bit disappointing. So I decided to find a color wheel image and test print that. The original color wheel image is the first image attached, and the print is the second image.My conclusion from that test is that this printer will not print red, magenta and purple as well as I would like. That's not a deal-breaker for me, even though it is disappointing. Because dye sublimation is a heat-transfer process, it's possible that color rendering will change over time as the machine is broken in.If I were doing this all again, I would remove the first cartridge that came in the printer and reseat it. My thinking is that the printer may be jarred in transit and slightly misalign the printer. I'll probably wrap my printer in bubble-wrap while transporting in order to avoid that issue again.

I've printed so many photos since I got it. It got stuck once on a cartridge but there's a YouTube video out there that explains how to troubleshoot.The companion app is not the best and it's kind of bad for editing. I recommend cropping and editing your photos in another app of your choice and then importing the squared image.The print and paper quality is also very good.Printing takes a bit over a minute but it's very high quality in terms of durability because of the protective coat. I printed a picture of me and my best friend playing hit MMO Final Fantasy XIV!

Seriously awesome. Don't listen to reviews saying the picture quality is bad, that's just not true. I don't know what I was doing with my life before this came along. lol Seriously I love it!

Es fácil de usar, de transportar, la carga dura menos de lo que esperaría, en la aplicación después de cada impresión te marca como si bajara 10% de pila cada que imprimes, pero si dura mas, pero si quisieras imprimir muchas fotos, tener presente que quizá necesites recargar tu impresora, estaba esperando las fotos salieran como con gloss, como a veces salen muchas fotos instantáneas, no es el caso con estas fotos, salen estilo “mate” pero la calidad es muy buena, buen brillo, de preferencia usar un celular con buena resolución de fotos ya que de esto dependerá la calidad de la impresión, si tienes una buena foto obviamente no se verá con tantos detalles como en el celular pero se mirará muy bien la foto, si la foto es mala, es probable no te guste la impresión. Los cartuchos son sencillos de intercambie y usar, no he tenido problemas con que se atasque, en general muy feliz y satisfecho con mi compra.
