Behringer XR18 Digital Mixer Handbook: Gain a deep understanding of your digital mixer Paperback – 9 July 2021

I have been using an XR18 for a few years now and recently bought an MR18 for myself for use with my own bands, for my home studio and for other bands that I mix as a freelance sound engineer. I was aware of most of the capabilities of this powerhouse of a compact mixer but didn’t really get a chance to explore it’s depths on the one I use in a venue, hence getting one myself to really get to know all the features within it.Although the supplied manual from Behringer contains most of the features it doesn’t really go into any great depth. There are quite a few videos on YouTube that explore different aspects of it as well.What I was really looking for though was an in depth exploration and explanation of the mixer and that is what this excellent and very comprehensive book provides. It’s a big book, filled with everything you need to know and with a range of scenarios outlined and explained.If you have spent the money on one of these mixers, you really should spend the money to get this book as it will ensure that you get the very best out of this powerhouse of a mixer!!A big thanks to the author for all his work in putting this together.

This is so useful for setting up & running an XR-18 (I use it for my XR-16)

1 year on from purchasing an xr18 for which documentation was scant and inconsistent I love this book.I'm a talented amateur sound tech and musician who has transitioned over from a 24 channel analogue system to the xr18' with a live speaker setup with DSP.The learning curve was steep, and the book did not disappoint. It is all killer, no filler. My real challenges was learning how to build out 4 effects channels and how to use the 6 aux channels for IEMs and active wedges.The book has been a complete lifesaver explaining both the concepts and helping step by step.A year ago I was mildly terrified at the idea of using an MR18 or XR18 in anger in a real setting. Today, I cannot imagine returning to analogue and losing the granular control and time saving setups I get from saved scenes and snapshots!Great work, Mark!

This is a must have book for anyone using the xair range of mixing desk, very well illustrated in easy to understand step by step writing. Only wish I had bought it sooner!

Having used the XAIR18 for many years now I have gained a good working relationship with the device however the Xair18 is a complex and compact piece of musica equipment and pretty much has all necessary tools within to make any and all musical applications seamless.The one and most important thing missing from this product was an interactive manual.Over time I have joined Facebook groups dedicated to this product and viewed countless YouTube videos to hone my skills to where they are today.That was until I purchased this user manual.The author of this book understands the Xair18 and this is evident in the way the book is laid out, simplistic references to all the Xair18 can deliver.So if you have just purchased an Xair18 or have been using it for years like I have this book is a must, it covers all bases and gets into the nitty gritty of getting the absolute best from the Xair18 in all it can deliver.Derek

The XR-18 is deceptively more powerful and versatile than it looks. This book lifts that veil of obscurity that can sometimes cloud one's thought process and workflow potential.There would so many features which one would never access if it were not for this book's dedicated deep dive into the inner workings of a very powerful and versatile machine.

The Behringer XR18 mixer is so diverse that even experienced users will stumble across something they don't quite understand from time to time. When that happens this book will explain how it's done in a language that non-techy people like me can understand. On the other hand if you are a complete novice it also covers all the basics too. It's an absolute godsend, an essential purchase. Congratulations to the author Mark Baker.
