Some years ago I received an ADK bag as a gift, and it is one of the best gifts I ever received. I used it not only for groceries, but picnics, pot lucks, boat bag, visiting friends etc. It folds nicely, packs easily, and is able to be easily disassembled for washing (!). Every grocery store clerk has commented on it and people in line behind me ask me about it. That being said, it was the old model, which was a different shape....less like a tall grocery bag and more rectangular footprint and not as deep. Apparently, that shape is no longer available (company has been sold to new owner?). I'm trying this new shape because I love how strong and convenient the last one was.....I plan to update my review after using this new bag for a bit. I hope it will be just as good and not an un-improvement. Stay tuned.

I am a tote freak, always looking for simplicity. I first saw this in red and didn't purchase it but saved to wish list. When I decided to re-visit it, the price had jumped up drastically from the price I'd seen at first sight. I purchased it anyway in the lime green and it has certainly served its purpose! I use it at the grocery, for transporting paperwork to work, etc. It's easy to open and fold down and I recommend it to anyone looking for a little something extra to help with transporting small items.

Shopping with a bag that won't stay open when twisting around in a wheelchair attempting to place items in said bag is a real pain. This solves the problem. Helpful that it folds flat and can hang out on the back of my chair, being unobtrusive and waiting for the next time I need it, which is often. Take care in unfolding the bottom, I've pinched my fingers. Buying another soon and look forward to filling it with random stuff. Bonus: flip it over while open and have a not so sturdy impromptu table!

The bag is OK as a separate bag - I like the material and lime green color.But using it as a bike grocery pannier is impossible. I've tried to attach it to four!!! my home bikes with different racks made by Topeak, Ibera & Blackburn - and got really poor results.First, using the manufacturer's adapter (provided without needed mounting hardware), the bag is mounted too low; the bottom edge is as low as a wheel axis. (XXL 22" Seatpost 26" fat bike with 4" wheels which is taller than all in my fleet)The bottom parts have no any average ability to fix the bottom to the rack. And as I see- the cloth will be scratched by pack parts, screws etc. The only one way you use it normally (with load) - like if you have a really tall rack with a really lot of bars on it - or some cargo bikes with beefy frames with footrests.The bag cover is useless and can't be attached without the risk of being lost - the strap under the lid is too short for use with the manufacturer's adapter, so I fixed this using a small carabiner.

I had been looking for a truly useful grocery bag for ages. This is the perfect bag. It doesn't flop around when you're trying to put items into it. It's sturdy and holds a significant number of items. This is truly the best grocery bag out there. The only drawback is that it's heavy and with the extra weight of packaged items it becomes burdensome. The way around that is simple: I keep the bags in the grocery cart right up to my car and then unload immediately into my car, thereby eliminating the any heavy carting. This drawback is minor compared to the minutes of frustration spent trying to keep the other types of bags open long enough to get groceries into them while the conveyor belt fills up with more and more items to be put away.

These are fabulous high quality bags. Get compliments at the grocery store.

Edit- I now own 5 of these bags. Two of them were delivered with a defect in the Velcro stitching. Thankfully I sew and was able to add an extra line of stitching to keep the Velcro on. I cannot figure out how to contact the manufacturer to alert them to the defect (on green bags only.) I reduced my rating to a 3 because if the bags are not durable that is a big issue for me.I've been looking for a bag like this for ages. I have so many reusable shopping bags that I have accumulated over the years- different sizes, styles, many of which I'm pretty sure the check out clerks hated. This bag is great- structured and easy to pack, comfortable to carry and versatile.

I have had this for a while now and it gets used a lot due to the multiple purpose design. Its rugged and can hold a lot due to the solid but foldable bottom to it. I have not used as a back pack but I can see it would work just fine for those picnic type uses where you may need to walk a bit to your destination. would recommend.
