Best shoetree ever!
First of all some bio about myself: I wear a size 9 US in dress shoes of normal D width. I initially bought the Allen Edmonds Men's Combination Cedar Shoe Tree in medium as well but I found that they are much longer, resulting in shoes being stretched vertically - I could even feel the difference (ie looseness) when I put on my shoes after removing the Allen edmonds shoe trees. Now enter the Woodlore Epic shoe trees - PERFECT fit for my dress shoes, which I would describe as rather sleek and modern. When I say perfect, I really mean it. What I like best about this shoe tree is that it REALLY fills in the whole shoe - from the toe, its sides, the vamp, and most importantly, the heel. The filled in the shoe just like a hand fitting into a glove. Well constructed and the cedar smell is quite strong too upon opening the box. Another bonus as many others mentioned is the brass knob. With the Allen edmonds one I used to get my hands sore and red from struggling to take it out of my shoes, it being that tight. The Woodlore ones are MUCH better and I will be getting more of these for my future dress shoes. Satisfied and will buy again. MOAR. Note: I bought the medium shoe trees at first (which are a good fit) but always wondered if the small would fit "just right" since that is the size recommended for US 9 shoes on the Woodlore website. Bought the small size to try but it looked so tiny out of the box that it may well have fitted in a child's shoe. I guess if your size fits in the upper end of Woodlore's size charts it would be advisable to get the next size up, in my case, medium instead of small.

Perfect
These are great. I had some cheap shoe trees that I bought at a big discount department store. They were also cedar, but must have been a different varietal, because they did not have that strong cedar smell that these do. These do a much better job of odor reduction. Also, the cheap ones were "one size fits all" which really doesn't. I purchased this set in large and they are a perfect fit for men's size 11. You definitely want to get a set of shoe trees that fill your shoes, otherwise they will not do a good job of keeping the shoes' shape. The big brass knobs are a bonus. I'm not a fan of the look of brass, but even I have to admit that the knobs make these look high class when inserted in my dress shoes. More importantly is the fact that the brass knobs make it easier to insert and remove the trees from your shoes. They also give you a lifting point when getting your shoes out of the closet. This is good if you keep your shoes polished. The knobs keep you from having to touch the leather. They are not necessary in any way, but very nice to have...bonus. These shoe trees are perfect. Well worth the money.

Great quality but the sizing can be a little tricky
The Epic Twin Tube shoe tree is a quality-made item. I found however that the recommended sizing wasn't completely accurate. Still I have ordered three of them and am completely satisfied since fortunately my experimenting worked out. I subtracted one star for having to experiment in sizing to begin with. So I had two pairs of dress shoes and a pair of "dress boots" for which I needed trees. They were size US12 or EU46. I first ordered the size Large shoe tree and tried them in my Johnson & Murphy cap toe oxfords, size 12. The heel of the size Large just touched the heel cup of my shoes when inserted. The spring tubes were not under tension but I felt that the wood last filled the shoe adequately. I tried the size Large in my other dress shoes and my boots and in both cases there was plenty of play inside the shoes. I then ordered two more shoe trees in size X-Large, and these fit perfectly in my remaining pairs. The heel cup tension was just enough - not too compressed. I'm just glad that I experimented with one unit instead of ordering three of the same size!

Worst Woodlore product hands down
I've had many shoe trees by woodlore and these Epic Fail ones are the only ones that don't fit ANY of my 9.5 shoes. I've tried these on 16 different pairs of shoes, boots and loafers and the trees are too short. On Amazon, it shows Medium as 9.5-10.5 but on the actual box it specifies medium as 8.5-9.5. Save yourself the trouble and get the cheaper shoe trees that actually fit.

Solid quality! Great build
Great quality, the sizing is great! It fits my 9-9.5 John lobb and Edward green shoes nicely and maintains them in good shape. Very impressed by its quality =)

Size 12 dress shoes = XL
These are great. I was skeptical to order them at first because I absolutely hate it when there is so much uncertainty with a product's sizing as you may notice from the other reviews. Some say they Amazon's or Woodlore's recommended size was too large, some say it was too small. That's nerve-wracking to say the least. The Woodlore recommended size was L. I played it safe and ordered XL. XL fits nicely in my size 12 dress shoes. I've tried them in two dress shoe variants (oxfords and bluchers) from different companies and they fit roughly the same in both. The trees compress approx. 3/8" (yes I measured) to fit the size 12 shoes. So would the size L work? Maybe, but I'm glad I didn't risk it. I would rather have the trees compress a bit and know they are filling the shows fully, than wind up with trees which are a hair too short. These trees have a very pleasant scent to them. Their shape is nice because it provides a very thorough fit in the shoe. The heel section conforms nicely with the shape of the shoe's heel. I highly recommend these. They feel like quality, expensive shoe trees you would expect to see at a high end boutique.

100% recomendables

These wooden shoe trees are not only attractive and well made, but they fit the size of shoe ordered (10.5) perfectly. They hold the shoe so the leather doesn't wrinkle but stays taut and smooth. This makes shining your shoes very easy and adds a classy look to your footwear when sitting on a shelf or boot rack.

Nicely made. These shoe trees fit my 9.5 G (wide) Barkers perfectly. They are well sculpted with a smooth finish. Much better than the alternatives. I found they also fit my boots. Simply insert the toe section and hinge down heel in to place.
