Got these to use for a battery box hold down. Works perfectly and is easy to use. Simple to cut off excess strap and heat seal ends. Perfect!!

I have the need every so often to tie down loads in my truck and so I carry straps in my toolbox.When I saw these straps I was thinking that they are like the ones that I typically carry that have hooks and then a ratcheting system to pull the rope taut.These straps work a bit differently in that they have one buckle that allows you to pull it through and then grabs on and holds until you release it. They are 16 ft long but must be looped around the load, so plan on about 8 feet or perhaps a bit less depending on what you loop it around. I'm not sure about the buckles but so far they have held items down in the back of the pickup bed. I haven't tried them on the top of a roof or on a flatbed, however.The strapping is good quality and with the straps coming back around the load, you get double the strapping across the load to hold it. Just be aware that you have to have something to loop it around.I gave them 4 stars because the buckles just don't seem to be as sturdy as one would hope for a full 600 lb load if you tried to take one down the road, but the straps themselves are very good.

The straps that are used in these tie-downs are outstanding, but the clasps are not. While they work, they do not grip the straps as effectively as would be required were these tie-downs to hold 600 lbs effectively. Nevertheless I gave these four stars because they work very well and do hold down equipment quite well in the back of my truck. But I do add an extra pair of loop knots after the clasp, and that does what is needed to decent hold-down capability. These are a bright orange and that is also a nice feature that makes keeping track of them easy, and adds safety visibility.
