Amazing budget lens without the budget quality!
As the title says, this lens is high quality at a fantastic price for what it offers. I've used this to take photos of the moon, the sun, and various pets/wildlife. Tracks VERY well for a 3rd party lens when connected to my Sony a7R V.Pros: Very sharp, generous focal range, compact due to external zooming, stabilization is extremely helpful zoomed all the way in, 82mm filter size, PRICE!Cons: f/6.7 at 500mm can get tricky when lighting conditions dim, quite heavy and the balance on a Sony camera with no battery grip is super front loaded, no teleconverter support or use, external zooms can build up dust and dirt inside the lens over time.If you're looking for a lens for wildlife or just a great telephoto zoom lens, this is easily a fantastic choice. I had a hard decision between this and the Sony 200-600mm lens, and I'm glad I went with the Tamron for the compact size/length over the fully extended internal zoom build of the Sony.

Very good lens
Excellent lens, not as bulky as Sony lense yet delivering great definition and sharpness, and all in all not as expensive as other brands,

Great lens for shooting sports and wildlife!
This is a great lens for sports and wildlife pictures. I use this lens with my Sony a6400 and the combination takes great photographs. Autofocus is quick and responsive and the images are very sharp. I really like the added reach compared to my previous Sony 55-210 lens which didn't have enough reach to cover a whole football field. With the Tamron 150-500 I can definitely cover the whole field from a single spot and get good photos of the action at the other end of the field. The only downsides to the lens is it's weight, which is a touch above average. I do not mind this as the lens uses metal throughout instead of flimsier plastic.

Great lens for an awesome price.
Really liking the lens so far. Its pretty sharp and on my a6000 zooms in far enough to get some great shots without disturbing any wildlife.

Great image quality
Wasn't expecting this lens to be this good. Good build quality. Great image quality from my Sony A7Siii. Very sharp works best in bright lighting conditions. Lens is heavy so use of a mono or tripod is requisite at the long end.

Nothing compares in price/range
First want to address some of the negatives I see on reviews.1- The weight, I really don't get it, the weight of the lens is available under the specs, so to complain about a known aspect is odd, it is actually lighter to most if not all, close alternative.2- Dust, one of the 1-star reviews in Amazon, is about dust in a lens purchased in used in eBay, not sure how that makes sense.First thing I did was to inspect the lens for dust under bright LED, mine is pristine.Hopefully it will remain clean being is weather sealed. So not an issue.Focus is fast and precise, focus tracking is also excellent, hit rate is above my expectations.I will only mention, outside of what has been said in reviews here and other places,This lens is very unique, nothing compares when it comes to weight and size as it pertains to the range.Specially if you use APSCThe value is excellent.

Excellent reach,clarity, sharpness
This is the best value long lens out there. There are cheaper lenses available yet none with this level of quality. I paid about $1,200 for mine and I'll put it up against the much more expensive sony 200mm-600mm any day. And when you combine the quality, reach, and portability there is no peer. 'nuff said!
