Great sound quality and comfort at an affordable price.
I previously bought EarFun Free earbuds to replace wired headphones which were always getting tangled up and working loose during exercise. The main problem was that my wife found the EarFun Free buds so good that she uses them all the time. Hence I was keen to get a new set just for me. The latest ‘EarFun Free 2’ buds arrived last week, within 1 day or ordering them on Amazon Prime. The packaging had a very high quality feel with a minimum of plastic. In addition to the airbuds and its charging case, you get a USB-C cable for charging, a selection of ear-tips (small, medium, large) and – very importantly – a clear user manual. The print is rather small but the manual can easily be found on the internet and a larger version read or printed off if necessary. The EarFun 2 earbuds come in one colour – black – which is fine by me. The buds themselves are of a similar design to the earlier model and are equally comfortable and secure to wear. They fit perfectly into the charging unit - they are magnetically attracted, and it is virtually impossible to stow them incorrectly or to mix up right and left. The charger unit is slightly smaller and lighter than the earlier design and fits more comfortably into a trouser pocket. The charge on the earbuds is claimed to last for 7 hours but mine lasted around 5 hours with jazz music at a reasonable volume. This is still impressive. The case can be charged using the USB lead (my preference) or using a wireless charger (not supplied). The charge unit and buds become fully charged within around 3 hours so I tend to leave it to charge up overnight where necessary. For me the most important qualities of any earbuds are sound quality and comfort. The EarFun 2 earbuds do not disappoint, with clear sound at both bass and treble frequencies. You can wear them for hours without any discomfort although it is important to select the correct size of tip to ensure that they stay in during exercise and maintain optimum sound quality. The new design features noise cancellation but also very good sound isolation so you can listen without noticing background noise or annoying others. Unlike other earbuds it is quite comfortable to use them with ambient music to help to fall asleep in bed. They are beautifully designed and the buttons on each bud provide for a high degree of functionality. There is a simple system for adjusting the volume – tap the right bud to increase, the left bud to decrease. Tap either bud twice to play/pause the music. I found these options particularly useful. Other tapping combinations are available to move to the previous or next track, manage a hands-free call, control low latency or activate a voice assistant. I have found some earbuds have quite limited volume, but this is not a problem here. I have used the EarFun Free 2 earbuds with my Galaxy A10 phone which provides more than enough volume. I also find that cheaper earbuds can sound rather ‘tinny’, but this is not a problem here. So, in summary, as with the earlier model, these earbuds are a good-looking and well-designed product with a ‘quality’ feel throughout. Sound quality, battery life and appears to offer an improvement over the earlier design, and the volume controls and noise-cancellation are a really useful additions. The charging unit enables the earbuds to be charged conveniently with a minimum of fiddling about. The earbuds are very comfortable to wear and provide exceptional sound quality at a very modest price. Strongly recommended!

Not flawless, but very good for the price
I got these in the Prime Day sale and they've proved to be a very good choice for the money. The sound quality is really pretty good: music is clear, enjoyable and well-balanced with no distracting faults. While there's no active noise cancellation, the passive noise isolation is effective: it's enough to block out everything that distracts me in my environment. Admittedly, it's not super-noisy, but as a point of reference: when I'm using on-ear or over-ear headphones, I need ANC - passive isolation only is not enough. With these in-ears, it certainly is enough. The fit is good. I often find in-ear phones don't stay in well, and these are better than most. Connection and pairing is - usually - quick and straightforward. The manual actually makes it sound harder than it is, by suggesting that you need to repeat the pairing process when you switch from one device to another. You don't - the buds remember the devices they've paired to, and reconnect easily. The quoted 7-hour battery life sounds about right to me. Not enough for a day of completely uninterrupted use; but fine if you can give them a quick charge at lunchtime. I should mention some frustrations. First, charging can be a bit delicate. A couple of times, I've taken the buds out of their charging case to found that they had not, in fact, charged. Cleaning the contacts with isopropyl alcohol sorts them out, but what's unfortunate is that the buds give no indication of whether they are charging or not. (There is a light that shows whether charge is flowing from the USB port into the charging case, but nothing to show the flow of charge from case to earbuds.) It would be much better if the LEDs on each bud indicated whether charging was in progress. Secondly, the left and right buds can lose the Bluetooth connection between them, so that you only get sound in one ear. The only solution I've found to this is resetting the pairing memory of the buds (by putting them in the case and holding down the button on the back next to the USB ports). That in itself is easy, but the annoyance is that you then need to delete and re-pair them on all your devices. Thirdly, other people seem to have had a good customer service experience, but I can't say the same. I raised a ticket about the charging issue, got an acknowledgement saying my issue had been forwarded for immediate attention... and then absolutely no reply at all. So I'm not really placing much reliance on the 18-month warranty. Still, the good definitely outweighs the bad at this price point.

A great pair of inexpensive wireless earbuds
I purchased a pair of the EarFun Free Pros last year and was impressed by them. So when the time came to replace my Samsung buds I looked at the EarFun range and the Free 2S were the best bet for me. Pros The same controls as my EarFun Free Pro - I know this is just my pro but it's important to me. Decent battery life - I'm getting over 5 hours constant listening and they are still going. I haven't managed to kill them yet! The case has wireless charging built in which was a must have for me (and obviously they are USB C). The fit my ears well and I have no problems when out running. Sound quality - calls and podcasts - is fine. I don't listen to music so I can't comment on that. Negatives The case is bulky. And that's it for me really. So for £31.99 I can recommend these as a buy!

Best value!
Best in the game for the money your spending! Amazing quality of sound and bass. Easy to navigate and use the functions of the earbuds. They don't fall out and they come with a range of different size ear buds too.

Mixed feelings
Sound not bad but a little to loud on mids. Biggest problem for me is that although single earbud can be used it not going into mono mode, still can hear only one channel. They are comfortable to wear even though they on a bigger side. Didn't get a chance to check battery life since not supporting mono mode is a deal breaker for me. Mic quality for phone calls isn't great either. Would advice to spend some more on earfun free pro since they are far better then this ones
