Extra protection for expensive sensors
Freestyle Libre 14-day sensors are an incredibly convenient solution for monitoring blood sugar without finger sticks. The only problem is they're prone to being dislodged when bumped and while they are water resistant to a depth three feet (one meter), there is always the possibility of water damage. These adhesive patches are cheap insurance to help keep sensors in place and safer in the water. That creates greater peace of mind, given the sensors' high cost.

Should Be Recommended/Required When the Sensor is Purchased
The sensors for the Freestyle Libre 2 should come with a sample packet of the sensor covers. I found out by trial and error that the sensors must be covered when in the shower or the swimming pool - the first one stopped working after one day. After purchasing several expensive types of waterproof band aids I found these sensors on Amazon. I have had problems getting them to adhere to my arm and often have to use 2 to guarantee that the sensor is fully covered; however, the cost of the covers more than make up for this little problem.

Not sticky
The adhesive does not work. At all. This picture was taken only a few hours after applying it. I'm also really upset that there doesn't seem to be an option to get a refund on this product.

They work!
They work exactly for what theyre made! The adhesive isnt as abressive as others [skin grip] patches Ive used. I did experienced minor irritation but could also be due to mosquito bites around the area patch was placed. These hold up pretty good with normal daily activity. I workout every other daily, work 12hr shifts and live in Texas so sweat is a daily struggle but these didnt budge! I personally change it every 3rd day due to lint stuck on the edges and it grosses me out. Looks "dirty" since its clear. The amount of patches u get for the price, I definately dont mind changing it out as often as I do.

Great product if used with skin adhesive
Works well as long as you use a skin adhesive with it, I used skin-tac wipes and let dry til tacky then put this cover over my dexcom G7 sensor and it stays on for about a week.

Eh
So, I see some reviews from people that don’t know what these are for. They are supposed to go over your original Dexcom adhesive to keep it in place, because after a couple of days it gets wet and nasty and starts to come off. It says it’s waterproof so it’s allegedly supposed to protect the adhesive, I guess. Avoid getting it so gross to the point of peeling off. Anyway, I’d first like to start by saying that the “pink and blue” is pretty much pointless, since the adhesive itself is clear. I was misled to believe the colors were part of the adhesive, but it’s just the covering. This may just be my dumb self, but it took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to get the adhesive off and then I wasted the first one because it curled into itself and wouldn’t come apart. It didn’t go on perfectly, therefore it did not seal off my Dexcom’s original adhesive, aka both this product and my Dex adhesive got wet and gross after my first shower. Now, for the price, it’s ok. I got these because I am semi-new to Dexcom and heard that an extra adhesive helps, but I wanted to try these before getting a more expensive one. It’s easily removable, and aside from the parts that got wet, it stayed in place for ten days. Again, it might have just been me being dumb and not being able to place it right, but cheap adhesive likes to stick to itself and is impossible to get apart, so just be careful when placing it if you do decide to purchase. Of course, there are so many in the pack that if you have to go through a couple because they keep messing up (as I did), you’re not really at a loss. Ok update: finally figured out how to apply these dang things after 20 minutes and wasting 3 of them lol. We will see how it does after showering and working out.

Needs better instructions
Hi, if you are having trouble getting these to stick, here's the review for you! Pros: stick well, feel like a second skin, sensory-friendly Cons: a little hard to figure out the first couple times, hard to do on your own until you've mastered placement So. Those instructions. First, remove the center white backing and leave the two wings. Center the cotton bit over the sensor. Stick in place, remove the wings and smooth out. Then peel off along the wavy line at the center of the colored part. It can come off if you're not careful, but once that part is removed, it's extremely thin. You want to do this part last because it will stick to itself and ruin the patch if you don't.
