Not one housefly is attracted to this. Sitting next to the concoction, the houseflies were all over me and not one got attracted to the mix

These work very well. I use them as I keep chickens. I only need to use half a sachet which I mix with water and add to the fly trap. Previously, I was using lower strength sachets and needed the full dose. Like all similar brands it does start to stink after a couple of weeks. I hang the traps in the middle of the garden - away from my back door and away from neighbours. However, flies love the smell. In a hot period thousands are caught. I feel as if if I am singlehandedly keeping my road free of them. Other insects are not attracted. I have seen two wasps amongst thousands of flies. No bees, hoverflies have ever been caught. I am now used to emptying and rinsing out the fly traps. As it takes a day or two to get the fly attractant activated, I start a new trap up a couple of days before I take the old one down.

There fly trap and the refills work extremely well.

Amazing how quickly this works, but as it fills with flies and wasps it does get horrendously stinky. My friend threw hers away as it was not nice to empty, so I leave mine for the husband to empty and refill.

Can’t believe how many flies I was able to catch. It will stink pretty bad after few days, but seeing how many nasty flies it can catch, is a trade off I’m happy to make.
