I should have been using these my whole life
I was a little skeptical weather this would be wide enough to pour from a full gallon but it just made it. What a wonderful idea. They clamp on securely and entirely eliminated any dripping in the groove where the lid seals. It also prevents runs down the side of the can. I'm going to try to reuse them but they're so cheap that throwing them away would be just fine too.

Works great. long lasting. Easy to clean. Work on gallon & quart cans.
I've been using these for years and love them. They last forever (almost) and are super easy to use and clean. They work great on gallon cans, but the picture I shared shows it on a quart can - works equally well on that size.

Makes pouring from a gallon paint can a breeze to clean up
Having paint get into the lip of a paint can when I pour is just a mess waiting to happen and this product solves that. I haven't met a gallon paint can that it doesn't fit. I use it on plastic as well as metal cans. It "snaps" onto the lip and I'm able to pour, when I'm done I pop it off and wash it. I am up to 6 of these now and they're just so handy. I have used many other pouring tools and this one is just so much easier to clean and it attaches to far more paint cans than other do.Side Note: The sticker on the bottom does leave a sticky residue, you can leave it or use some goo gone to remove it like I do so that it's easier to clear. If you do use goo gone make sure you clean it well so that it doesn't impact your paint at all.

Install it correctly!
If you learn the right way to to use this tool, you will never again approach a painting job without it!There’s a secret (why doesn’t it come with a simple little instruction sheet?).You have to push one end of the groove (it’s marked) onto the INNER flange of the paint can with your thumb an then keep pushing, going around until the whole groove is sealed onto the inner flange. Then go around once more to make sure it is totally sealed down. The messy failures that are mentioned in some reviews are undoubtedly the result of trying to attach it to the outer flange. The beauty of this spout is that the paint can be poured with no dripping or mess, and when the spout is removed the lid can be replaced just like when the can was new - no paint in the groove to dry up and destroy the seal. Paint in a can treated this way will last and can be used for years.BTW, treating paint cans well is a cost-effective strategy. A new empty can costs about twice as much as five of these spouts.

NICE PRODUCT
Bought the one size fits all type to use on 1 quart Rustoleum cans. When I tried the first one It didn't seem to work properly. There were slight imperfections in the molding. Tried another and it worked well. Went back to the first and cleaned up those small flaws and it went on properly. So all and all this is a good solution to the problem of pouring paint from these cans. Might be a bit easier if you warm the plastic up a little.

One Size Fits All?
I think the "one size fits all" description is not at all accurate. I found that they fit on a gallon size paint container albeit with a little fussing. But, try as I might I could not get them to fit on any smaller size, in my instance a quart can.

Not "one size fits all"
I bought this paint can spout for quart paint cans. They are well made, but don't easily, or at all, fit quart paint cans. I'm sure that they are excellent for gallon cans.
